****OFFICIAL DYNASTY TRADES**** (24 Viewers)

Recap on what started a few pages back:

  • 12 team PPR, 24 man rosters, start 1Q, 2R, 3W, 1T, 1K, 1DST, 2F
  • Team A was 3-10 with 10 victory points in 2017, second worst in the league in both, and scored the fewest points in the league.
  • The Team A owner from league inception in 2013 through the 2017 season left the league and was replaced by a new owner unknown to me on April 3. The new owner is getting a 50% discount in his first 2 seasons due to the poor state of the roster he took over.
The new owner has made 7 trades in his first 10 days in the league. Here they are, in order of occurrence:

Team A gave up Alex Collins and 2018 Draft Pick 2.02
Team B gave up Aaron Jones and 2018 Draft Pick 4.04

Team A gave up Tevin Coleman and 2018 Draft Pick 1.10
Team C gave up Ty Montgomery and Devante Parker

Team A gave up Zach Ertz and 2019 Round 1 Draft Pick (almost certain to be 1.01)
Team D gave up Donta Foreman, Theo Riddick, Cameron Brate, 2018 Draft Pick 2.08, and 2018 Draft Pick 4.08

Team A gave up Martavis Bryant and 2018 Draft Pick 2.08
Team B gave up 2018 Draft Pick 2.02

Team A gave up Jimmy Garoppolo
Team E gave up 2018 Draft Pick 2.10, 2018 Draft Pick 3.04, and Year 2018 Draft Pick 3.08

Team A gave up Keelan Cole and 2018 Draft Pick 2.10
Team E gave up Cooper Kupp

Team A gave up Donte Moncrief
Team E gave up 2018 Draft Pick 2.10

My team was not involved in any of those trades. My repeats of Team B and Team E show that he made 2 trades with Team B and 3 trades in a row with Team E, during which 2018 Draft Pick 2.10 was involved in each trade.

Team A currently has 2018 Draft Picks 2.02, 2.10, 3.02, 3.04, 3.08, 3.10, 4.02, 4.04, and 4.08 and has no 2019 first round pick since he traded it away in his second trade above.

I have not seen any league chatter on this, but this is a league that typically is not very active in the offseason, and I don't recall any real chatter over any trades in the past. The league rules only allow trade vetos in the case of collusion, so there isn't necessarily reason for other owners to be posting or emailing about this (assuming no one knows of any collusion).

I won't continue to clutter the thread with recaps if his trading spree continues, but I have been playing in dynasty leagues for a dozen years or so, and I have never seen anything like this, so wanted to aggregate everything one more time.

I guess I should feel stupid for not getting in on the feeding frenzy...

I guess the strategy is to get as many picks as possible in one draft and kick start a rebuild by sheer volume of lottery tickets, banking of one of them becoming a legit star? Though if that's the plan, I'm not sure why he tried to lock up the GB backfield (while also cutting a guy that has a good a shot as any to be the valuable one in that backfield).

He finally did it !!!

That's a lot of very bad trades.  That Ertz deal is just horrific. I like Aaron Jones a lot but he didn't maximize value at all in that deal.

The next owner will probably have to be given an even bigger discount.

He traded AWAY the 1.10 and 2.02 along with the best player in both deals, respectively.

Fire away. Otherwise Team B and E will continue to take all of his value. Hope the guy is paid up for 2019 now. He will be gone in 2020. These types of owners are hopeless you just have to mine what value is left from him or continue to be frustrated about stupid trades you can’t control.

12 Team PPR, .15 PPC, 1.25 PPR for WR, 1.5 PPR for TE, plus TE yardage bonus

Team A got 1.1, Amari Cooper, OJ Howard, 2019 2nd rounder

Team B got Melvin Gordon, D Hopkins, 1.8, 2019 3rd rounder
I see 2 for Hopkins

i am going 1.1.

I would not trade Barkley for Hopkins. Very high on Saquon

i would take Cooper over Gordon with the thought of way more years. Plus I see one being better and other going down this year

Howard and 2nd = 1.8 and 3rd. Only because of Brate signing. Hurt Howards immediate impact for this year and maybe next. Plus I do like this years draft if you want another position.

this is a great trade and I see why many owners would do both sides,

Side getting woods in first.

Guess I don't understand the second one. I'm in no way saying Davis doesn't have value, I actually really like him but I feel like most people right now have juju over him pretty easily, guice over Chubb and 1.1 or 1.5 so for value you gave all the best peices at this moment. Woulda thought with giving up those 3 decent peices you could have done more then diversify your young WR talent
I don’t disagree that I overpaid. But to say JuJu is way ahead of Davis is recency bias. Davis has the draft pedigree, is the wr1 on his team, and is paired with a young qb. The fact that he was hurt most of the year has really hurt his value making him a HUGE buy, imo. They’re equal value in my eyes. Guice and Chubb will come down to landing spot. I like both.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Most trades for the 1.1 recently would’ve had the 2.10 pick on the Bell side.
I agree. The most surprising thing imo is the owner that gave up 1.1 isn't in win now mode. You can argue he is getting an established stud RB in exchange for two unproven players, but I don't understand making the deal if you don't think you are just one stud away from contending for the title.

20 team league PPR

Team A got Tevin Coleman,  3.19, 2019 4th

Team B got 1.9, 2019 3rd
20 team league?  that seems to be rare, I can imagine a top10 pick being super valuable.  I'd go with the pick but I like Coleman enough that it's close.  I can't get anything for him in one of my leagues.

12 team PPR Dynasty

Team A gave- 1.1, 1.9, 3.6, 2019-1st (Mid to late) Goodwin (SF), Lockett.

Team B gave- Hopkins, Mccoy, Thielen, Jared Cook.

Is that supposed to be a 2019 1st?

Pretty fair, but I wouldn’t want to give up my first next year if I was trading away Barkley this year.

He had to pay up for 2019 in order to trade his 2019 first round pick. My team finally got in on it:

My team gave up Jordan Matthews and 2019 Round 2 Draft Pick (was 2.10 this year)
Team A gave up 2019 Round 2 Draft Pick (expecting it to be 2.01)

Matthews seemed unlikely to survive final roster cuts, even if he makes the Pats' final roster.

Hopkins=1.1, 1.9, 3.6

McCoy=2019 1, Goodwin, Lockett

Thielen=Free
Hopkins = 1.1, at the very best for Hopkins.

Don't think McCoy fetches a 2019 1st in most cases.

Thielen < 1.9 for me.

On value, I will take the picks, but I cannot fault the owner getting Hopkins and McCoy as they will certainly help a run...if that owner was close to a run already.

A couple of recent trades:

12t, ppr

Gave: Zeke

Got: Gurley

----------

14 teams, SF, ppr, .25 ppc

Gave: J. Matthews

Got: Perine

------------

12t, .5 ppr

Gave: CMC, '19 2nd (projected late), 3.05, 5.02

Got: Melvin Gordon

------------

12t, 2QB, 2TE, ppr

Gave: Watson, Dalton, Eifert

Got: Dak, Matt Ryan

Same league.....

Gave: Bradford

Got: Hooper, 2.08 (devy league, so pick is more like a late 2nd)

--------------

Bonus questions if you made it this far (this belongs elsewhere, but I'm asking here)....

14t, SF, ppr, .25 ppc

Give: Diggs, 1.04, 2.02, 2.04

Get: Sammy, 1.02, 4.02, 4.04, '19 1st (projected mid)

Which side do you like? I see no difference in Sammy/Diggs. Do I want to move up to 1.02 in an RB heavy league to get #1 rookie next to Barkley? Is it not worth flipping 2.02/2.04 for the '19 1st. It's close, imo. I do like early 2nd's in Superflex drafts this year.

Henry and the pick pretty easily.  That's an expensive salary for cooks, good job by the team dumping it. 16% of your cap on one player when you start 15 players you better really like the guy.
Wouldn't it be 12%? 48/400. 16% would be 64. A difference of 16. Which is almost enough for Henry, apparently.

I might still take Henry and the pick. Just trying to clarify. I don't play salary leagues.

I'd rather Gurley but it's pretty close.

The get side in the bonus.

I think it’s fair, but I’d keep the 1.01. That’s just not enough for me to hope off this Barkley train right now.
Seemed a little expensive to me particularly in a 1/2 Ppr. Fournette no joke in his own right.

16 team 1/2 ppr.

Fournette and the 1.09 for the 1.01
I would probably go with Fournette and the 1.9 especially since it is a 16 team...talent gets thin with that many owners and the 1.9 has more value there than it would in a 10 team league...

12 team .5 PPR

Team A gave up Garoppolo, Jimmy SFO QB;Gordon, Melvin LAC RB;Thomas, Michael NOS WR
Team B gave up Ryan, Matt ATL QB;Gurley, Todd LAR RB;Bryant, Dez DAL WR

12 team PPR

Team A gave up Donta Foreman and 2019 Round 2 Draft Pick from Team F (likely 2.10 or later)
Team B gave up 2018 Draft Pick 2.01
