I gave up Howard. and my main reasons were:

1. they tried to trade Howard. I don't think they want him so it's a matter of time before he ends up in a timeshare somewhere else. Sure, coach says now he wants him, what is he supposed to say, "yeah I came in and wanted to trade this guy. doesnt fit my scheme but we couldnt get a buyer so we're stuck with him"

2. Howard can't catch. Nagy runs an offense that requires a RB to catch passes. A RB like Hunt. Howard and Hunt couldnt be further apart from each other as far as skill sets go. a statement even Howard made. 

I don't understand how everyone can like Miller, Burton, Mitch, Cohen either. Well, I can understand Cohen. I think he is used a lot in the passing game. But the entire Bears offense, along with a pretty bad defense, is destined to earn a top 5 or 10 draft pick next year. 

I was quite happy getting rid of Howard because he doesn't fit the new system and could be in a RBBC in a year or two the way this NFL is moving toward that direction it seems.

First off, with the glut of rbs drafted in the last 2 years I disagree that it is trending to more committee based use than it has the last several years. Second, if Howard isn’t getting the lions share of the work, who is? 5’6”, 181 lb Cohen? So he plays out this year, and perhaps he refines his receiving game just a little and it works in Chicago. Perhaps he plays out the year and gets traded- he has proven an effective runner, he will get work somewhere. I doubt Benny Cunningham or Tiquan mizzell are taking the job. Everyone loves Nagy so much, but thinks Howard is being phased out for a rb that isn’t on the roster right now. 

I think they inquired about Landry maybe. He deleted all the football photos on his Instagram acct, including high school and college, and fans assumed he was getting traded. 

Assured his agent he wasn’t being traded, whatever that’s worth...

wow... winston has been a major disappointment and may end up as a backup in 2 or 3 years

Interesting trade and if I got roster room,  felt I could live  with Goedert instead Kelce this year, either contend without Kelce or rebuilding and don't care, then I happily make this trade for the two young TE's.  This is coming from someone who had Hunter Henry as his #1 or #2 dynasty TE before he got hurt.

 
There is a decent chance neither Henry nor Goedert ever approach the value Kelce is producing at.  Even without accounting for the roster consolidation the Kelce side offers.

Even rebuilding, Kelce doesn’t seem old enough to warrant bailing on yet.

There is also a reasonable chance kelce never performs as well with mahomes as he did with Alex Smith.

Got Kerryon Johnson, Devontae Booker, CJ Anderson

D Freeman and K Johnson are equal on my value board, and with R Freeman on this roster, getting Booker was a good insurance policy. Though I think Royce runs circles around Booker, still good to have the cuff. I countered adding Trubisky and CJA to add another potential flex starter.

Same league

Gave Julio Jones, Kenyan Drake, Will Fuller

Got Mike Evans, Duke Johnson, 1st, 1st (one has potential to be 1.1-1.8, the other 1.8-1.12)

Duke is a decent get for the team, also own Chubb. 

From these two deals and the two deals we posted earlier this week:

Gave: Cam, Stafford, Trubisky, DFreeman, Drake, Julio, Shepard

Got: Rodgers, KJ, CJA, Booker, Evans, Cooks, 1st

Might be tough sledding early with three rookie RBs, just hoping we can get to W7 at 3-3 or better. Rodgers, M Gordon, Evans, JuJu, Cooks, Kelce should be good for a couple wins.

Kerryon goes around late 1st in rookie drafts and probably 2-3 rounds later than Devonta in startups as well.  In a startup I'm in right now Devonta wen't early 3rd, Kerryon went mid 5th.  Value wise I think you got the short end, but getting the cuff to Freeman is nice to have and Anderson won't be as irrelevant as people want to believe.

I just don‘t see, how you were not able to get more when selling Barkley. Surely there would have to be 10 teams willing to top that offer.

Maybe the guy wanted picks and no one else had multiple high 1st this year.  To each their own.  Last year people who paid multiple picks to move up in the draft would been better served waiting for a Hunt or Kamara who were falling to late 1st / early 2nd at this time last year.  You just never know how it will work out.  Pretty sure everyone who traded a boat load of picks for Trent Richardson as the clear 1.01 that year are not too happy about it today.

Oh, Barkley could definitely flop, but I would think, that you will have some guys in every league treating him like a top 5 dynasty asset. 

I understand selling him, but this cannot be the best haul for him. Kudos to the buyer.

Though I'm a Guice fan, this roster also has had Chubb and KJ, so it made sense to get more of a sure bet at RB to add to W1 startable options with Kamara and D Freeman.

You are a trading machine! I think it's an equitable and fair trade and makes sense for your team.

Initially I liked the Guice side. Then I liked the Cook/s side. I think it's a very very fair trade. No winner here. Makes sense for your team definitely. Good trading.

I have a strong preference to the Guice/Julio/ASJ side.  Cooks, although good, doesn't scream WR1 like Julio does.  I like Guice more than ANY RB from 2017, let alone my least favorite of the top in Cook.  And as far as fliers goes, I like both ASJ and Tyrell so that part seems even.  

If I'm looking objectively, Julio for Dalvin Cook seems about as even as you could get based on consensus value.  and Cooks and Guice are going relatively close in startups as well.  Value wise it's probably really close to even, I just have a strong preference for the side of guys I like.

Team A gives- Guice, Evan Engram, Jordan Wilkins, Crowell

Team B gives- AJ Green, Baldwin, Clay

Team A is competing this year. Team B is rebuilding.

I could pretty easily see giving the #2 or #3 rookie pick this year for both AJ Green and Doug Baldwin if I have a good team with WR issues.  

Very easily actually.

But yeah, that trade looks a bit lopsided in value.

Trading top rookie picks for two 30 year old WRs is a great way to ruin a team.  Guaranteed decline in value in a little as a year.

Buy a better quality value WR and fill with WW if need be.

trading ONE top rookie pick (which this year I dont view picks 2/3 to be some "great" talent") for two excellent WRs is a great way to win a couple titles if you have strength at the other positions.  

Those two 30 year olds likely have a nice 3 years left in them each.  That is 6 good production player years.

Again, this year is pick 2/3 REALLY some sort of special pick?  I don't think so personally.  

All this is league dependent obviously.  I dont know the specs of the league we are talking about.  I just know it is 16 team PPR, and depending on the starting requirements adding two good WRs for a few years could easily be an enormous addition.

 
No chance I’m dealing Guice for AJG and Baldwin. If you’ve got to do that to try to win a title than you are fooling yourself long term.

I'd give Guice for AJG and Baldwin on my current team. My WR's are very weak, and my RB's are very strong, and I have Rodgers as my QB. If I added Green and Baldwin to my team at this point, I'd have a great shot to win a couple championships.

Of note, Fuller drafted ahead of Cam in all 3.

 
Do I take Guice, a guy who fell to the 7th RB taken for some weird reason, or do I add a few years of a WR 1 AND a WR 2 to my roster in a 16 team league?

For example, one of my teams has Rodgers, Bell, David Johnson, Mccoy, Julio, and then TEs of Olsen, Engram, Njoku.  If Julio is my only legit WR, that would be the easiest trade ever.  In three years that entire team might be worthless (outside of Engram/Njoku, maybe Rodgers).  But hey, at least I would have Guice helping me get the #2 pick rather than the #1.  

Really, in most cases I would expect to take Green/Baldwin over Guice in PPR.

I'd definitely take the Cook(s) side here, regardless of roster considerations. Dalvin>Julio, Brandin>Derrius, and neither of those is all that close in my mind. Dalvin & Julio are going right next to each other in redrafts and one of them is 6.5 years younger than the other. And Guice seems to be one of the more overrated guys around, IMO - I have him neck-and-neck with DJ Moore in the mid first rather than the obvious #2 pick.

I got Guice as clear cut #2 player from this rookie draft, love young RB's and in general rarely  don't pay for older WR's. All that and on my teams I have Guice if I got this offer I'd have to ponder it a few hours either way, would be hard to say no to on those teams, most of which could use a little WR assistance. Be hard to say no to because I'd realize the value is on my side and this likely helps me win now because this is a second and third round player for a 4th round player in redraft.
