Smoke Squatiron is lucky this incomplete screen to Drifter Nagurski wasn't called a lateral.
Agreed! As I look at Smoke's first game, I am disappointed, especially since there were some throws that SHOULD have been made that would have been big gainers...this one being the most glaring bad throw. :bag: He went 7/18 for only 54 yards, took a sack and had a few missed opportunites. this one looks like it could have been a walk in TD...

He finished with a 91 in energy, so I think next game I will have him play 'intense' instead of regular....

Great work by the defense and a good win for the team!

Mil boys....we had 10 punts today.....that's an awful lot......if we don't start moving the ball al ittle more, we could be in a jam......or we need to get a few more yards on punts....only averaged 25 yards a punt.........

It seems that at our high school level, we might be better of playing with a high school mentality - lots of rushing, since the QB's skills need time to develop. Can you set at what range you go for it as opposed to kicking FGs? Might want to shorten that up as well.

i agree. and if our offense is pretty good i think we should go for it on 4th and 5 or less...

I'm definitely putting most of my next level pts into stamina and vision.

Not a knock on you at all. I just think that at the low skill level we're ALL at, right now, QB and Kicker probably suffer the most since all other skills at other positions are equivalant to the opposition whereas kicker and passing accuracy are measured only against themselves.

not to harp on the kicking, but i think another side effect is that you want to focus on not giving up the big play on defense. who cares if they move it between the 20's as long as you aren't getting beat for 6.

Here is the play by play for Milwaukee, if you want to watch it without knowing the end score.

Someone do the same for Detroit if that game is done. DON'T DISCUSS RESULTS

4 rushing attempts. 3 first downs when rushing and 1 missed first down. The missed first down came at a huge price because it could have sealed the game. Gained .5 yard when I needed 1. Great game though.

Question: I am at 93 energy and have two days to recoup the energy. I could recoup 12 energy points with a normal training day and an intense training day. I will get .05 more points on the attribute I have selected but at a cost of $250... seems to be a rip off and simply go for the normal training. Other attributes raise less. Why would you do the intense training?

Question: How much more experience do you get for intense training compared to normal?

you get a slightly better increase when you do intense, but you don't gain as much energy and you lose more money...although at 93 energy, you probably should do intense for the next 2 days for the extra increase if you can afford it...from what I read experience is the same, its only the ratings increase and energy level that raises...

What I'm doing is immediately after the game, I'm looking at how much energy I need to get back vs. how much it will cost + how much of a training benefit I will receive. I look at all three option combinations over the next two days and go with the combo that is most beneficial. Sometimes an intense training day will help I imagine, other times not.

Back in 2003 or so I think I paypaled something like $5.00 to the site for that boxing game. That was cool but took much more work than the football one in my mind... maybe I say that because I know more about football. I am thinking of doing the same thing with this one not to improve my current guy but to add another one and work with two guys. Plus, it will add to the game for me. I can see myself checking on this game daily and "having fun" with it.

I agree, I put 10 bucks in so far but can not see myself putting any more money into it at this point. My problem is I find myself checking the site far more then daily and there is nothing new to see. I clearly have a problem.

it looks like Bort made some updates last night....

- New server!

- Depth Chart screen now shows "CPU" next to CPU players.

- Trade screen now has a bar that shows the balance of the trade as you add players and cash

- Bug fixed with trade screen's valuing of players for cash

- Ability added to show your stats to nobody, your manager, everybody on your team, or everyone in general

- Position and level added to each offer on team's list of rejected player offers

- Notes on offers changed to a text box instead of a popup mouseover

- Search option added for players only on CPU teams

- Human players now get a message when the team they are on is bought, and it removes all contract offers and trade offers related to that team (not retroactive)

- Born on date added to player profiles

A 1-2 punch with (HULK) would be pretty good. My flex points haevn't processed yet but I should be able to level up tonight.
Be a power back as I'm building mine to be a speed/agility back.Thunder and Lightning!
Hmmm...that's mostly what I've been focusing on too...I'll focus on strenght/receiving/vision/agility now I guess.
When you get your 15 points for leveling to level 4, maybe you could head in a power back direction?
I guess....
Nah, that's what the FB is for. Two speed backs ain't going to hurt our team in the least.
If we go this way, we need to tailor our team for more outside runs. In fact, watching the game, that was where we had most of our sucess. Specifically one great run by Champ.

They feared Chase Backer the outstanding ROLB... yep they ran to the middle or the other side a whopping 90% of the time.
Our DEs dropped in to coverage a good bit. No doubt a testament to our DTs. :bag:
I freaking defensed a pass and my only tackle was in the secondary. WTF?At least I got a hurry.

You ain't the only one.

No idea why you were dropping into coverage. Zone, crazy blitz scheme?

WHOO HOOOOOOOODominating win by Detroit. Only allowed 37 yards rushing. Awesome. Once they got down 14 they were forced to air it out, 54 passes vrs 13 rushes. 6 QB hurries and a sack!We were fairly balanced, 44 passes and 43 rushes. We had a lot of balls deflected by CBs. I think we had too many short passes called. I expected more pressure from them on the QB but our line did a great job. We can open it up with more medium and long passes if that continues, and then they won't be able to sit on the short passes and knock them away. How is everyone's energy. I am at 88 after playing with Normal Intensity.
Engergy Status (all played Hard Intensity):(SMASH) = 76(PUNT) = 99(RUN FAST) = 79(BLOCK BAD MAN) = 79Since the RB and Guard rotate w/ humans, I think I'll keep their intensity up for now. Also, of course I keep it up for the punter. For my DE, I think I'll put him at normal intensity for the next game and see how that goes.

I noticed it on about 1/6th of the plays or so. Probably part of the play?

We game planned to run a lot up the middle. We can change that for next game.

If Champ also wants to be a speed back, that should be the plan. It all depends on what he does when he levels his guy.
