Official Game Thread W1 - Kansas City@Denver (1 Viewer)

Alright, how about a few passing yards here at the end of the game, Trent? Maybe a TD would be nice - throw me a bone on the worst FF day of my life, bub.

Jake has some wheels. Haven't seen a Bronco QB run that fast since Elway in his prime. Much better than the statue that is Brian Griese or Buereline (sp?)

Bell gets a carry!
I just noticed bell is wearing number 26... wonder who they were thinking he was going to replace......also... announcer quote "Plummer is the closest thing the broncos have had to elway in 5 years"..... OH PAAAALEEEZZEE!! They shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath......These announcers suck......

One more Griffin TD should lock up my Zealots league (I'm playing against Holmes right now).Did Pat Summerall just say "direct snap to Jake Plummer"? :wall:

Man, this Griffin kid has got somethin'. Unlike Holmes, he actually has to do at least a little something on his own.EDIT: And like Holmes, it can't be at the line of scrimmage.

I tire of of everybody saying that player X runs just like HOF player Y, but you have to admit that Quentin runs A LOT like Sanders.

Wow, I realize this is the KC defense that couldn't stop a peewee football team, but that was a Barry like cut right there.

Whew! Broncos score and I still have a chance in one league.Turns out Rod has kept me just ahead of the Q owner in one of my leagues. Needed someone to get a TD other than Q. Still up by 4.5 points. This is the first time I've seen Q extensively. The man is quick and his size would make him difficult to get your hands on.Ugh...there goes Joey talking about the punt return again. :X

Only difference being Q hasn't been caught from behind. Sanders always managed to make it to the 5 before being caught. Oh, and Q already has just about matched Sanders' average annual TD #s.

Okay, now just keep Holmes & Kennison out of the end zone, guys. I don't wanna have to sweat a game tomorrow night.

7.2 YPC - only v. the Chiefs.Be interesting to see how well Q runs v. tougher defenses.IDP sleeper is the Chiefs MLB - he's going to have a lot of work this year.If the Chiefs had WRs as good as Gonzo at TE they might be able to come back here.

Barry had 99 rushing TDs in 10 seasons, and scored 10 or more times on the ground in 6 seasons. I'm sure you're talking about 1993 & 1998, which had to be frustrating for Sanders fans, but....On the other hand, Sanders averaged exactly 1 receiving TD per season, so Griffin is right on pace there. :D

I was a little disappointed that Q wasn't used more in the passing game, but end results were okay, I guess. ;)

KC Homers:Is it the players or the system (referring to Gunther)?
Well, they sucked last year with Greg Robinson -- all they changed this year was the Coordinator, and well... they still suck!!

Q-Tip is giving away passes vs runs. He is not putting in his mouthguard on the passes.
Ya know, Bo Jackson used to have a habit about doing that as well. Course, I hope Q doesn't break his hip like Bo did. :P
