Not til the offseason UNLESS Pinella somehow got fired and was availible.

To fire him, you need a viable candidate, and there really is none on the sidelines that I can think of that fits a "yankee profile". MAYBE Bobby V?

The biggest factor is, to fire Girardi now admits defeat on the Torre situation and I don't think they're ready to do that YET.

I think the guy Cash would go to in the offseason is probably Showalter, but he might be too much of Giradi's "strict" mold.

Ironically, and not suprisingly, the guy this team needs is sitting the Dodger dugout.

Yea the best thing they ever did for non-Yankee fans was run Torre out of town. Just horrible.

It started poorly with him sending Duncan into Aki with spikes chest-high.

They can fire Girardi and bring in anyone else, it won't matter. The manager can't get out there and pitch for these guys. Cashman is the one who should be canned. Year after year he brings in below average relievers who get shelled night after night.

I don't think Torre would be doing much better.It's not like Torre was doing a great job in LA until they got Manny. I don't think Girardi's doing that bad this season. The Yanks are still at .500 despite a horrible bullpen, CC, Burnett and Wang struggling, a washed up Matsui, and a mighty third base platoon of Angel Berroa and Ramiro Pena.
