Traded him for Anquan Boldin during Vick's bye the week before he came back, thought I had a steal.

Who did you trade him for?

Traded Vick, Reggie Bush, Michael Crabtree for Aaron Rodgers & Jason Snelling prior to week 9.

Of course the guy I traded to then promptly traded him for Collie (who then got knocked the F out)

So theres two for ya!

Traded him straight up for Mendenhall and I thought I got the steal of the century. Starting to think I got jobbed. :lmao:

I traded Megatron for Vick.... to open up a spot for Dez Bryant..... looking like it'll steal me a win this week, as long as McCoy doesn't go off inthe second half

Sold him for Dez 10 minutes before he was named the starter for the rest of the year. I thought that he rotating in and out this year and I should get what I could.

Guess who I play against this week... Fantasy Gods revenge is almost complete.

Don't feel bad yet, One game doesn't make your trades horrible, still a long ways to go. If mike Vick is so awesome I wasn't have a backup QB still ridding the bench, he could get hurt in any game.

I traded him for Larry Fitzgerald. I'm actually happy I did because I've got Peyton Manning and Vick would be on the bench today. I'd be going insane.

I traded Vick for Gore the week before he got injured. I even felt a little guilty from what I thought was the biggest ripoff of all time for my buddy. Now I might have actually lost that trade??

Michael Vick & Donald Brown for an at the time struggling Greg Jennings and a little used throw in receiver named Dez Bryant who I had high hopes for but hadn't yet done much. I made this trade to the Kolb owner because I had Flacco and Roeth and White was my only WR that was consistently performing (Bowe was terrible at the time). I don't think Vick will have too many more games like tonight but I am not as high on this trade as I was when I made it.

An owner offered me D'Angelo Williams in week 2 for Vick before he was named the starter.

Everyone in the forum said I royally screwed the guy.

Weeks later, 155 points for Vick, 36 for Williams.

Who got screwed? :wall:

That would have been borderline veto-able in week 2Good reason why veto should not be allowed in leagues

:bag: You are so right, but it took me several years of watching trades play out to gain this wisdom. Player valuations are just too fluid from one week to the next, and from one fantasy owner to the next. The next time you see another owner who's OBVIOUSLY getting screwed in a lopsided deal, pause, take a deep breath, and say...

"Congratulations to both owners on reaching a deal to help your ballclubs."

Then move on...

The other owner offered him to me, that's why it didn't get vetoed. I'm the commish and this guy's been inthe league for several years. So, I wasn't taking advantage of a newbie. Turns out he fleeced me. Live and learn!

Traded Cassel/Vick/LRobinson for McNabb at the start of the year in a start 2QB dynasty league... thought I had got a bargain of a deal.

No, but the other owners name is Andy R.

I am trading Vick, MJD, TO and, Mike Williams (TB) for Matt Ryan, Mendenhall, H.Nicks, and A.Johnson.

I have Rivers as my starting QB (thanks for having a bye in week 10!).

I traded Vick/Austin for Wayne/Pitt D. I have Rivers as my starter so I felt very good about this trade. Since then Reggie has disappointed majorly and I definitely got the worse end of the deal.

I actually offered Vick for Vernon Davis (14 teams, start 2 TE league) straight up right before Vick came back from the rib injury, and the guy wouldn't budge. Thanks buddy!

After Tony Romo's bye week in week 4, I traded what I thought was an unneeded Vick along with Chad Ocho and Freddie Jackson for S-Jax because I was desperate for another starting RB.

I subsequently traded for Eli but it cost me all my RB depth -- M. Bush and S. Greene.

I made a lot of good moves this year, but the trading of Vick was not one of them.

Hey, no one will remember how I got there if I win it all again.

Two qb league I had brady and P manning rostered and picked up vick off waivers. I sold him straight up for Gates (i waited on Te and lost out on talent there). Its paid off mostly and vick wouldnt have helped me to a win this past week.

Two weeks ago in a 12 man redraft I traded Vick, Bradshaw and Steve Johnson for Adrian Peterson and Malcom Floyd. I have Eli Manning and Stafford as my other qb's and CJ2K as my other RB. Wanted to pair AP and CJ together. Today, I don't think I do that trade.

I sold him after getting him off waivers, before he played a game. Don't regret it one bit. Why? Because at the time he was not proven, was likely going to only play one week anyway. Was able to get Reggie Wayne (who has sucked eggs the past month) in the deal, which included some other players.

Did I end up giving too much (included Maclin, got Josh Freeman in a two QB league)? Yeah, with hindsight. But had Vick not played well, had Kolb taken back the reigns what would it have been worth?

Sometimes you look back and there is a lesson to learn, sometimes a trade just doesnt go quite as planned... but if you stop trading, you will lose a competitive edge. Read somewhere last year I think that, on average, the more a team traded, the more likely they were to win during a FF season. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

I BOUGHT high on Vick two weeks ago. Traded Rivers to get him. I did it based on an interview I heard of somebody--basically said that while Vick was in Atlanta they kinda enabled Vick. Didn't ride him, didn't make him work, treated him with kid gloves. Since going to Philly I heard the coaches rode him to make sure he was working and was prepared. I put that together with his early season stats and the system in Philly and thought "there's a chance he could be the best player in all of fantasy."

lol.

I traded away Chad Henne and Ryan Torain in dynasty format for Vick last week....

In redraft I traded away Mike WIllaims (TB) and Steve Smith (NYG) the day before Smith got hurt for SJax and SMoss..

Epic week of lucky brillance!

counters the fact that I gave up Dez Bryant for Steve Smith (CAR) the week he was coming back from injury.

Here’s my Vick “one that got away” story:

In the league I don’t own him in, I tried desperately to trade for him, as the Vick owner had him on his trading block. He wouldn’t deal with me because I was among the league leaders, and wanted to deal with an also-ran team. He wouldn’t take less than Ray Rice for him, but I declined. I tried offering some multiplayer deals, including my starting QB Eli, but he wouldn’t budge… partly because he was my opponent that week….

So I happen to work out a unrelated trade of Mendenhall to another team. The Mendenhall owner then deals him straight up for Vick, a deal that I would have done but also would’ve gotten shot down. The previous Vick owner went on to lose to me with Mendenhall in his lineup (would have won with Vick). This past week he faced the Vick owner and narrowly lost. He was 5-3 before the Vick trade, and now is 5-5 and on the verge of being done for the season.

Moral of the story, I should’ve given up Ray Rice for Vick. :kicksrock:

Oh and if you traded away Vick, you are probably really regretting it about now.
