2 random comments made during Bob & Dan today made me wonder

1) they wre discussing somethig that the end result was, bob said we should have our lawyers look at that, Dan replied I think our lawyers are little busy with other matters

2) They were talking ratings or something and he said that maybe they should hire a Cowboy as if it was an impending hire
The bolded part was a dig at ESPN for hiring Irvin to sit in with Kevin Kiley.

OK - makes sense

Major announcement next Thursday @ 11:10 amProbably not a hardline announcement since it is during Norm's show
So I noticed that the reminder about the announcement that I heard today had an interesting worded message"We'd like to apologize to all our fans" for making you listen to the major announcement on Thursday @ 11:10Given that wording doesn't it have to do with Greggo??PS I apologize for quoteing myself

Maybe he's joining Norm's show!?! No mix with the Hardline!

That would be awesome. Two drop machines in the same timeslot.

Big Jer would need hazard pay

The prank call they had last week or the week before from Catlin to Norm was pretty f'n funny. Telling him that corporate wants him to pay for the paper and toner for printing out the Mitchell Report twice.

:goodposting:

I don't know if I could stand another hour of Dan McDowell on the air.
 Dan = unlistenable
you guys need to have your senses of humor checked out. You're probably a big Craig Miller fan huh? Talk about a big bag o' nuthin.

I hadn't seen the "new lineup" on BaD Radios page, but I agree with some of the earlier posters, I can't imagine them taking an hour away from the Musers and also ending afternoon drive at 6 vs. 7.

I think Bob and Dan deserve afternoon drive, they have steadily built up a huge following, are great at balancing sports talk with guy talk, and have only improved with the addition of Donavan.

As for the Followell rumor, I would imagine that this would be to join Rhynes on whatever the Hardline is to become. If you think about, and put several of these rumors together, Followell could join Rhynes at midday and not miss any of his Mav's duties. Would be tough for him to do afternoon drive and still make the early Mav tip offs.

He forgot to add that the Mavs are going to play all their games at home from here on out to accommodate Kickball Head Folliwell's schedule.

we are talking about less than 50 days a year that they'd have to work around. still doable.

They don't play every day when on road trips, so it's probably more than 50 days. And then there are those deep playoff runs...

If they could work out the logistics I would love to see kickball head come back.Another problem is that he is working for ESPN radio right now, they wont let him go to the competition for a daily radio shift

Random Cowboy thought: I am so glad Seattle won yesterday, neither TB or NY scare me near as much as Washington does.

It's possible the ticket offers more money. And he's sick of the travel and just wants to do it.

I wouldn't mind it if the Bucs could find a way to pull this out, but I don't see it.
The Giants without Shockey do not scare me. He is their one real weapon against R-Wil and the Dallas defense. Double cover Plax, use everyone else to stop the run and wait for the Eli explosion.

Dont leave Toomer open

I gave Kiley a listen a few weeks ago when he was doing an hour or so in the mornings. He's really not bad from what little I've heard.

ESPN gave Engel the pink slip it looks like. Thankfully. I'm not sure how that show survived so long.

Looks like their new lineup is this:

5-9 Mike & Mikayla

9-11 Colin Blowhard

11-2 Kiley & Cokehead

2-6 Galloway

6-7 Hansen's Hour of Self-Importance and Ego-Stroking
When did espn hire the Hammer

I think I'm almost for sure going to go to this game. Anyone else?

The market for the tickets is really soft for some reason.

I am going and am also very disappointed in the sales price as I have two extra tickets.... Now the Giants fans will swoop in and buy them at low prices (a la Packers in November) and the crowd will be split.Hell I have a Giants fan coming down from the DC area to attend the game already - got tix on his own before he knew I had any.

Parking passes are selling for more than tickets in some cases.

How do you sell yours - Cowboys ticket exchange, ebay, stubhub , other?

Usually stubhub. I'll go if I can't get 800/ea for them. And right now that looks unlikely. I've been watching the stubhub sales and nothing has gone for over 800 since 1/5. I also have little to no interest in the Indy/SD game so that adds to the desire for me somewhat. Will be in Lot 8 unless people are getting there 5+ hours early and shoot me over to lot 9.

I may try to go if I can find decent seats at a decent price. I was afraid they were going to play the early game on Saturday when I wouldn't be able to watch at all, so I am just thankful it's on Sunday.

Beating a team thrice in a year is tough. I'm a little worried.
NFL teams are 11-6 when facing a team for a third time after beating them the two previous times in a season. No, I am not a Norm alias.
Interesting, uplifting stat.
The Cowboys have only once played a team three times in a season after winning the first two games. That was in 1998 when they beat the Arizona Cardinals 38-10 and 35-28 before losing 20-7 in the playoff game. The last team to beat a team three times in a season was St. Louis over Seattle in 2004.

That's an odd statistic - though you're right. I heard on the NFL channel that when teams meet each other 3 times in a year and one team has won the first two games that only 20% of them win the 3rd game. Seems odd to me because if a team sweeps another in the regular season - all things being equal (injuries, etc) - that they're clearly the better team. That said, Eli is sure picking a helluva bad time to "figure it out". He has had two very strong games back to back and all of the other pieces have been in place for two years for NYG to be a serious SB contender out of the NFC. The TO and Shockey injuries should tell a tale in this one. Also - Boss looks to be a really good blocking TE. The Giants will likely give him a chance for a coming out party versus ol' Horse Collar if he can run routes and catch. This could be a one and done for the Cowboys - hope not but this matchup is definitely worse for them than the Bucs would have been. Back now to the Ticket thread. Baby Arm.

I'm surprised, too. I see quite a few affordable seats on Stubhub.
