***** Official KTCK/1310 AM "The Ticket" Thread ***** (2 Viewers)

Really wish 105.3 would have left B&S on, I don't really like any of their shows now. At least they were entertaining during Ticket commercials. Can't stand 103.3 either.

Why did the ticket let big **** hunter go? He's better than half the shows the ticket has on the air daily.
Everyone makes mistakes. I think the little Ticket would like a redo on that one. He didn't quite fit in with the rest, but his show is as good if not better than anything on 1310.

105.3 The Fan is going to have a THREE hour pre-game show and THREE hour post-game show before and after every Cowboy game.

The pre-game show is hosted by Jagger, Sean Sallsbury and SBMVP Larry Brown. Dan O'Malley and Brown will do the post game. That may be the worst lineup I have ever heard.

BTW, interested in hearing how Danny's trip to see his real mom went.

Michael Irvin is unlistenable, but I don't speak in ebonics, don't like people who laugh at themselves everytime they speak and consider myself semi-intelligent.Mud

I have "Full Disclosure" just collecting dust in my office. If anyone is interested in reading it, let me know.

I'm late to the party, but what happened to Mickey for the Ranch Report? No one seems to like Todd Archer much...all his reports feel awkward chemistry wise.

Mickey went over to 105.3 The Fan as the ***official*** Ranch Report show for the station that is now carrying the Cowboy games. They also are getting the Jerrah show, Wade show and Jason Witten show.Todd Archer is decent for covering the Cowboys, but still working on his radio presence. Not to mention I think all of the hosts feel that a "Ranch Report" is just a waste of a segment on their show.

Bad and hardline certainly would be fine if they never did it. I don't think the hardline really gives a crap about the cowboys. Bad does somewhat, but they don't cover straight news stories so the RR is a strange fit.

I don't feel like it's any more awkward now than it was with Mickey. I only hear the Hardline's Ranch Report, though. They, especially Rhynes, didn't like Mickey, from what I could tell.

I spammed pretty much everyone that posts in this thread in any frequency at all and some stragglers in the rangers thread. Ideally I'd like to get a league with primarily P1s together. If this is of any interest to you please shoot me a PM. I think i sent like 25 PMs at this point so if I missed you let me know.Right now the results are pretty overwhelming to do something weeknight and in or around north dallas, perhaps addison, or maybe irving. Maybe start around 6-6:30pm and get as far as we can. If it has to finish later via slow draft so be it.
Did this ever happen?Any interest for a league this year?

When he was on the Austin station that carried the Cowboys, the Ranch Reports sounded awkward. I assumed it was because he wasn't familiar with the hosts. Maybe Mickey's just a weird dude.

Oh no, they dropped the price this year. You get to pay about $150 less than last year but they never said what the price was. Wasn't it like $1,100 per foursome last year? And it was humorous listening to them implore P1's to sign up early because spots go quick. They said they sold out in a "couple of weeks" last year but if I remember correctly they were still advertising slots available the week before the event. It's for a good cause so I hope they sellout.Found it from last year:

$400 per person to play in the Dunham/Miller Open. They are out of their effing minds.

The Ticket preaches intimacy with the commoner P1, but they really don't practice it.

Of course, that could be because 95% of P1s are creepy 40-something divorced men.

A top-5 reason to still listen to The Ticket:

The Fake Tiger Woods - I almost wrecked on the way into work from laughing this morning.

"Heyyy Musers....I have been crying all night.....they were tears of being PISSED OFF!"

I welcome the change to Archer, not bad to get some real Cowboy news a few times a day, and I was tired of Mickey, just like Rhynes was.

Probably because he "reset" the show every fifteen seconds. Unlistenable!!! Yes dude we know you are big **** hunter on the Ticket, because you told us 15 seconds ago for the 27th time this hour.

So if Corby actually did leave to go co-host with Shaq on satellite, would Rhyner pack it in and retire?

Is there any question that Rhyner is divorced now? They make too many comments alluding to it for him not to be.

I think Rhyner will die on the air. If the Ticket quit tomorrow, he would be back somewhere on FM doing Sports for some zany morning show. He is more like Norm than he would ever want to admit.I missed the Corby/Shaq interview. Was there mention of some type of collaboration between the two? Corby would jump at that in a minute, burning Ticket bridges left and right.

Corby bugs the #### out of me. At the same time, if he left, I'm not sure I could listen anymore.

Shaq took a minute in the interview to tell Corby that he really wanted him as his sidekick if Shaq's radio gig was green lighted. Not sure if he was serious or not, but he sounded sincere  Corby hem-hawed claiming that he could never take a gig like that, but Rhyner was very encouraging saying that he should do it if given the chance.

Heck yeah he should do it. That would be a great gig. Corby is great as Shaq's little buddy.

What time does Fight Night start? Thinking about going. All I see on the website is that the Hardline will do their show there.

Norm hast to be getting free information from this guy for letting him on the show....................never heard so many plugs for websites in my life.

Now let's get back to our spades game with Jerry Jone / Microsoft money!!!!

Fights start at 5:30 I think.

I don't understand why the Ticket doesn't give Norm a pretaped hour to 90 minute wagering show for the weekend, ala Raceweek with **** Hicks. I know Norm fits plenty of it during the week, but can you imagine how a pure gambling show would do late Friday night or late Saturday night?? Every casino, bookie site and gambling website would pay top dollar to have commercials on it.And I still think a local Fantasy Sports show on the weekend would be a good seller as well. But what do I know.Starting to have some Ticket burnout again....

I'd also be curious to know what kind of system Norm uses to handicap football against the books. And where his book is :goodposting:

RIP "Quality Rock". We hardly knew ya. Yet another format change for 93.3. From the teaser garbage they are playing it sounds like they are going with a "Legends" theme. Isn't it just time to put the Ticket on the FM dial and call it a day?

Of course I say that as I listen to podcasts today, giving at least the morning off of the Ticket until Bob and Dan.

Management went real creative - I93.3 - Top 40 HitsIf I wanted to listen to Pink, Nickelback and BlackEyed Peas I would go to the other 7 channels that play this crap.

I can't believe they canned the only good alt-rock station in Dallas for this trash.

So, will Football Theater 1310 be a worthwhile investment of my time on Sunday?

I'm wavering between it and the 105.3 broadcast of the game.

Did anybody catch Football Theater yesterday? I tried for a couple of minutes, but immediately they're pointing fingers at who is and isn't supposed to be there for the broadcast. I had to scrap it.

"Uh, Paul in uh....."

Jub Jub getting hammered today. I don't know what is better; the drop or how defensive he is about it.
What happened here..recap? I live in SA so i only get bits and pieces via ticket podcasts. TIA.
When the towers went down the Musers had a moment of silence to honor the victims. Unfortunately for George he tried to go to the phones and take a call during the moment of silence. As if doing that isn't bad enough, Gordo brings it up and twists the knife every chance he gets. It absolutely drives George crazy and I'm shocked he hasn't managed to purge that drop from the Enco yet. Here's a longer clip:George's Moment of Silence

During muse in the news on September 11th 2009, Gordon suggested they have a moment of silence as a tribute. If it were anyone but Gordo it would be touching but Jub Jub knew it was simply an excuse for Gordo to play the drop "Uh, Paul in uh". Jub protested but then Craig and Gordo starting slamming him for not wanting to honor the fallen with a moment of silence. At this point Jub is hyper defensive, knows there is no way to win, and goes into total give up mode as they play the drop about 4 times. It doesn't happen very often, but when Jub gets totally dogpiled by Craig and Gordo it's gold.
