***OFFICIAL*** MNF Game thread: Steelers at Jags (1 Viewer)

I'm still thrilled with the win, but the road to a week off in the playoffs goes through Indy and the Jags play there on sunday. There are also many injury concerns right now. Wimbush, Chad Owens, Wiley, Deke Cooper, McCray amoung others left the game and the Jags are already banged up for this early in the season. But still feels nice. :)
The Steelers went into Indy and smacked around the Colts in the playoffs last year with the same type of football the Jaguars used to win last night.Should be one helluva game between the Jags and Colts next week.Enjoy the win, man. The Jags deserved it.
Yes, right after the Colts tore them apart using the exact same style of football. Regular season, Colts win!

In his first game back after knee surgery last year, Ben looked terrible against the Colts. And then he tore them apart in the playoffs.
I think you're seeing what you want to see. If 17/26 for 133 is terrible, how can 14/24 for 197 be tearing them apart?
How many TDs and INTs in each game homer? How many passing yards did Ben have after the first two Steeler posessions of the playoff game? I think you may be seeing what you want to see.

I guess you didn't watch the games. In the first game back last year against the Colts, Ben was tentative in the pocket and missed a lot of open guys. Guys he doesn't normally miss. A lot like last night - he was "off" on a lot of throws that he normally makes, and he really cringed every time a pass rusher had a chance for a good shot at him. He didn't scramble either. In case you missed the playoff game against the Colts last year, it was Ben's arm and not the running game that got the Steelers a big lead early, and the defense took care of the rest.

Steelers | Cowher says Roethlisberger's struggles not due to surgery

(KFFL) Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher said during his press conference Tuesday, Sept. 19, QB Ben Roethlisberger's Week 2 struggles were not attributed to the appendectomy Roethlisberger had prior to the season, but was more due to a lack of familiarity with his wide receivers, as Roethlisberger only returned to practice last week.

He also said that Ben had a 100.4 fever not 104 which was reported earlier.Cowher said there were no major injuries in last night's game and no setbacks. He did say that Polamalu did play injured but he expects him to play this week.

Props to the Jags. The Steelers played fairly well, and I'm not going to make any excuses to downplay the performance the Jaguars had. The Steelers played some tough defense. The Jags played better D. Good luck vs. the Colts next week. I hope they get the win in Indy.
