Keeping the '80s theme alive from the music draft. Post your favorite videos/clips/promos/etc. from the good old days.

Start with the very beginning: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xqqnbf_mtv-first-day-saturday-august-1st-1981-12-01-am-part-1_music (can skip to 14:30 to see the actual rocket launch)
Chromatic Death has to be in there from Headbanger's Ball.

If you want Headbanger's Ball, here you go - original broadcast. Grainy footage, but the commercials are worth it alone.

Will check it out. Wild Side :lmao:

Social consciousness from MC!

Liquid TV- first season had one of my best friend's shows on it... Winter Steel. Also had Aeon Flux and IIRC, the first Beavis and Butthead.

But yeah- 120 Minutes was some great stuff. Also liked Yo MTV Raps.

Pretty sure Phil Collins "You Can't Hurry Love" was the first video I saw.

And they ran an entire Flock of Seagulls concert live in 1983 or 1984. It's hard to believe now, but you almost never saw live concerts, or even multi-song sets, on TV back then. Was amazing to see a whole show.

The first video I remember thinking "holy ####" to was Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer". Was getting ready to leave the house and just stood there mesmerized.
