***OFFICIAL NLDS Thread: Cardinals vs. Dodgers*** (1 Viewer)

No idea what his bench looks like, but :lmao: @ pinch running Puig here.

Like you need to be counting on that moron running the bases right now

not a fan of the pooholes bashing, personally
Not so much the bashing vs it being not the end of the world in my book - amazing that after losing a player like that that we could just keep on keeping on

But he's a LA guy - so I'm sure it was intended as a dig

What am I missing with celebrating? Since when do you celebrate after each series win? I get why the Royals would but this is the 4th straight NLCS.

In 3 years since Albert Pujols left St Louis for Anaheim, #StLCards have been in LCS 3 times, #Angels 0 times.
It was a tough but sharp move to let him go. But he would've been a serious issue on defense for 7-8 years.

Dodgers have Beckett and Ramirez coming off the books this year. If they hand over the MI to Gordon and Guerrerro (who's making 7mm and had a great year, might as well play him), they could splash on a top tier starter. Pederson's coming too, and they have a lot of value guys (Puig, Ellis, Uribe, Ryu, Gordon, Pederson likely) to balance out the combined $20mm they'll spend next year on League, Billingsley and Wilson's player option. Obviously they're going to double down on more relievers to try and shore up their leaky pen.

It's hard to screw up with $200mm+. They've made some missteps, but their farm system + intl signings even it out.

Heart breaking to see a quality person like Clayton Kershaw struggle so mightily in the playoffs. I was really hoping he would pitch a fantastic game. Dude only gave up 4 or more runs in a start in the regular season once this year.

What a game. Matt Adams had me saying "wow" about 50 times.

Tough to see a class act like Kershaw take it on the chin like that, but the guy's still a beast. And he'll still scare the hell out of me every time we play him in the future.
