Braves are losing ground and the Phils are decimated right now.......... 
. I guess it doesn't matter when you have 3 aces on the staff. This could get ugly when the Phils get healthy again.

With the Braves playing the Giants, if the Phils can keep winning against the Mets, they'll pick up ground either in the division or in the wildcard.Braves are losing ground and the Phils are decimated right now..........

And he's still claiming he was right, after watching replays. I guess in his mind the ball landed fair prior to the bag, went foul over the bag, then turned to the right in mid-air to land fair past the bag.

Is there some special rule on this? It looks fair off the bat, but then later foul. I'm sure by now someone in philly has figured out this by now, right?

Phils pitching is nasty right now. When the hitters get healthy, I'm not sure anyone in the NL has a prayer. The AL is a complete different story of course.........

I'm probably moving to a place that has satellite tv as part of the rent in september, which will prevent me from having CSN. Is MLB.TV the way to go? Any other options? Is it possible to get the most basic cable package for any provider for just a month?

Here is an estimate of what it will take for other teams to win the wildcard if the Phillies continue to play .561 ball (which means they will finish with 91 wins).
SF: 19-10
STL: 22-9
COL: 22-9
LA: 23-5
Plus SF, STL and COL still have series against each other. Barring a complete meltdown from Philly, I think the playoffs are a pretty safe bet.

Yes but they're only 2 games ahead of the Giants with a month to go. While I don't see the Phils going on any type of major slump with their starting rotation, I wouldn't exactly call it a "complete meltdown" if they were to somehow miss the playoffs. What happened to the Mets 3 years ago was a "complete meltdown" IMHO.

Now that is how you win a game. Nice to see Utley and Howard hitting well in back-to-back games.
Though the 9th should never have been as tense as it was if Howard had fielded the grounder from the first batter. Terrible.

Well not exactly textbook, but nothing ever is in Coors Field! Both Chase and Ryan seem to have gotten it together finally. Just in time to make the September run. But I think it's all going to come down to the final weekend showdown with Atlanta. Going to be fun!Hopefully they can muster up some juice tonight after a redeye got them home at 4am this morning. With Hamels on the hill too, hope we can get him some runs.

Because of the Phils recent winning west coast road trip, they are now projected to win 92 games. Here's an updated estimate for what it will take for the other teams to win the wildcard if the Phils finish with 92 wins.
SF: 16-8
STL: 21-6
COL: 20-5
Also, I think the Phils are winning the division. For some reason, Atlanta cannot win games on the road.

According to my research, the Phillies are on pace to be the first team ever with 3 pitchers with 200 or more K's and ERA's under 3.
Hamels was so nasty last night. Those strikeout pitches were just dropping effortlessly under the the hapless Marlins' bats.

The other great thing about this is that if for some reason we really need that last series, we can skip Blanton on the off-day on the 30th and use Hamels, Halladay and Oswalt in the final series.

could have used another start sunday from hamels for championship of my fantasy league.I hope they can get a rest/take it easy on halladay down the stretch. I worry about him being overworked. What a waste that would be.

Halladay's bad pitching performances are 7+ IP and 3 ERs. That's should be enough to win.
