Official Philip Rivers Thread (1 Viewer)

Rivers is listed as questionable with a knee injury and was limited in Friday's workout. "I’ve got to watch what he does," Turner said. "He said he feels better. We’ll see how he does tomorrow after doing more." Rivers reiterated that he expects to be a game-time decision against Detroit: "I don’t want to play selfishly just trying to play. We’ll do what’s best for the team."

I couldn't find any info this morning but it did sound like Rivers improved between the Thursday - Friday practices.

I'm rolling the dice with him as my #3 QB this week (other choices are dealing with blizzards)

I wish I had another late game QB so I could wait and see if more news comes in on Rivers. I guess I am leaving him in my lineup since, if he plays, it is against the weak Lions pass D rather than Garrard vs. Pitt. :goodposting:

Brendan Roberts: (3:16 p.m. ET) Linebacker Shawne Merriman and defensive tackle Luis Castillo are both inactive in Week 15, which should help the Lions' offense. More importantly for the Chargers (and fantasy owners), though: Antonio Gates (back) and Philip Rivers (knee) are both active and expected to take on their regular workloads. Start Gates, for sure, and start Rivers if you normally would.

San Diego Chargers

Inactives: QB Charlie Whitehurst (3rd QB), CB Paul Oliver, FB Lorenzo Neal, LB Anthony Waters, LB Shawne Merriman, T Roman Oben, WR Malcom Floyd, DT Luis Castillo.

Fantasy take: QB Philip Rivers is active and will start against Detroit. The Bolts are without Merriman and Castillo, but their defense is still a viable fantasy option.
