This is gonna be a great series and I'm interested to see the hitting considering the line-ups and the parks.

Damn I'm almost nervous. Last year I could barely talk. It's playoff baseball time!

Thats the kind of start that has been missing from Francis' last few games.

I hope he's dialed in.

Pretty cool for Helton to triple in his first post-season at-bat after waiting a decade to play in October.

Holliday crushes the first pitch out of the ballpark, literally. Just foul, however. It actually went over the fair pole...as in you couldn't tell where it crossed it was so high....

Then he strikes him out. Threw over 40 pitches.

I said it before the season started, but all the talk of his demise was way overblown.
Well his power is WAY down and his salary is high...His OBP is always .400+ and was a robust .434 this year...He's still a productive hitter, but he's declining and still getting paid based on his performance from 4+ years ago

I'm so f'n excited! Can't believe we made it here!
If they can get to the late innings with the game close I like the match-up with their bullpen vs the Phillies bullpen. Both these teams are gonna hit, but the bullpens will probably decide two games at least in this series.

The ump is reeeeaaaallly squeezing Hamels. I counted at least 5 pitches in the first inning that should have been strikes and would have gotten the Phils out of that inning with a lot less damage.

Hamels is getting dialed in.

He's thrown 83 pitches though in the first four innings so he may not last much longer.

Effing Francis is mowing them down. I've never seen this guy pitch, guess this was a good time to start. I gotta start betting these games.

Francis gets dogged because he plays in Colorado, but the guy has been solid all year.

Wait till people see Jimenez pitch if he is on. Kids got a 100 MPH fastball.

Just checked the batter v pitcher report at br.com...

Apparently Helms was 6 for 9 with 5 ribbies and a homer against Francis coming into the game...

What exactly are you talking about? (not watching the game)
I was wondering why the hell the incredibly crappy Wes Helms was starting for Philly...Then I checked his career record against Jeff Francis and it was very good...

Gotcha. Thought he had done something.I was also surprised that they wouldn't go with Nunez for defense, but based the stats you put up, today seems like the best time to get Helms into a game.
