Corpas is pretty evil with that delivery. Stones look like they are in control.
Yeah, that last pitch to Howard, man...Corpas is pretty evil with that delivery. Stones look like they are in control.
When she showed up it was no laughing matter! She wasPhilly fans are good - I think the Phillies needed thisPhilly fans are an emotional lot that don't think in these situations. They are some of the best fans in all of sports even though they are often a bit misguided. It's better than watching a Marlins home playoff game. At least these people give a ####.And with HD you can really see the crowd as whole a lot clearer. So the expressions seem to become more pronounced. This (fairly) new thing of constantly showing closeups of the most agonizing fans is so overplayed. The fans have become like actors.Phillie fans in crowd look like they've been beat over the head with baseball bats. Lots of blank stares.![]()

That's pretty sweet. Now you know why I usually like Philthadelphia fans. They are a riot. When she showed up it was no laughing matter! Good stuff indeed. But it was 33 years ago. Can they claim that crop still? That's pretty sweet. Now you know why I usually like Philthadelphia fans. If Denver fans aren't thinking about the Rockies first on Sunday, they are wrong.Wow, I thought I was being greedy hoping to split the 1st two, but to get them both is amazing. This team just keeps going and going. If Phil manages to get one on Saturday, being in Denver on Sunday will be an absolutely amazing day (not traffic-wise mind you)You have the Broncos playing San Diego, the Av's playing San Jose, the Rockies vs Phil and the big Octoberfest celebration all going on at the same time and a 3 day weekend to boot (for some of us)--I will still be drunk Monday night.![]()
As a Phils fan, I GUARANTEE that the Phils win Saturday night. Why?they'll win just so they can force me to stay up late Sunday night just to disapoint and torture me some more.
I was wondering why he took Lohse out after only 1 strong inning. Sure they're down 3 runs, but try to stop the bleeding first. To make matters worse, he brings in effin Mesa.ETA - whoops, I forgot he gave up the gopher-ball the previous inning, but I'd still keep him in over Mesa. Anybody but Mesa. Please See Mine said:Obviously hindsight now and I wasn't watching at the time, but not sure about the move to take Kendrick out.Was he leaving his pitches up and/or did he not have good command in general? If so, then I am ok with the move, because Kendrick really needs that command to be effective, because his stuff is not great. That being said, if he did have command of his pitches, Charlie should have left him out there to try to get out of the jam. He's been as gutsy as anyone on the team this year.
I don't know but with the way his career is taking off, I can't see Tulowitzki being intentionally pitched to all that often. When is the last time Kaz Matsui has been intentionally walked?
