The worst! Believe me, we are going to lose BIGLY folks! Russia will be hacking us daily with their team of 400 pound cyberterrorists! It really is tragic and unbelievable how huge we're going to lose!

Reminds me of that Eddie Murphy Stand up bit from Delirious when he talked about if Jesse Jackson ran for president and how people would vote for him as a goof.

<drunk, laughing, pulls voting booth lever> "I just voted for Jesse Jackson" :lmao:

The next day: He fu**ing won?!"

I thought Trump never had a chance? He has proved so many wrong, maybe this will be just another hurdle and another win...so much winning.

Great poll.   Even Chet got that part right.
Poll?  We don't need no stinkin' poll.   Do you take a poll on whether the sky is blue?   Poll smole!

First page!

I see you guys in 2020!  How is life?  And those of you in 2024, I see you too! (unless he's a one termer).

Whats kinda funny to me   I dont believe any posters have lived, when America was Great  There is much work to be done, and Trump should be able to get most of it done.

Any updates???   Has he done anything yet??  Nobel Prizes, Treaties, Walls?  Sounds like a do-nothing President thus far.

small update..  I will attempt some translation.

President Obama Should Push for Greater Transatlantic Security During Berlin Visit

http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2016/11/president-obama-should-push-for-greater-transatlantic-security-during-berlin-visit

My literal translation..  The poor man cant think of anyway to better spend his time (Our U.S. printed monies), than away from the Country..  It appears that he will attempt to talk about things, which Only Trump really knows..  (Trump has stated "sweeping changes")

Obviously I cant have no true understanding of why ya loathe Trump, but appear to embrace Hillary..  (It is neither here, nor there)  But I'd also like to add, that I believe the Presidents endorsement, which included his choice of words, wasn't at all helpful (Both now, and long term)  Here hes seen laughing as he attempts too discredit Trump.   https://youtu.be/CnABNoToXjo

Any publicity is good publicity!  SNL pokes some Fun, and Trump advertises a response.  Yeah, he could have had his feelings hurt, but still laughed too..  https://youtu.be/G_DV54ddNHE

The real Subject:  Trump has said he would pull back the troops that the United States has stationed around the world to keep the peace ..  Thats right, we have armed volunteer force to be reckoned..  However some of those lives are currently risked, for another Countries benefit..   Trump believes our Country should be compensated..  Its all well and good to joke about making a large parking lot..  But, some families have somewhat unnecessarily dealt with an ultimate sacrifice, for you to enjoy that laugh..

First off, in case ya didnt know..

Republicans have been winning under 15% of the black vote in recent national elections (1980 to 2012). While historically the party had been supporters of rights for African Americans starting in the 1860s, it lost its leadership position in the 1960s.[citation needed]The party abolished slavery under Abraham Lincoln, defeated the Slave Power, and gave blacks the legal right to vote during Reconstruction in the late 1860s. Until the New Deal of the 1930s, blacks supported the Republican Party by large margins.[111] Black voters shifted to the Democratic Party beginning in the 1930s, when major Democratic figures such as Eleanor Roosevelt began to support civil rights, and the New Deal offered them employment opportunities. They became one of the core components of the New Deal Coalition. In the South, after the Voting Rights Act to prohibit racial discrimination in elections was passed by a bipartisan coalition in 1965, blacks were able to vote again and ever since have formed a significant portion (20–50%) of the Democratic vote in that region.

"Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people." Eleanor Roosevelt

Lets just choose to move past "biting the hand that feeds"..  I believe the potential in changes, which should have an effect for all Americans, may in fact bring back some of that real voting power..   ie.  IF Trump can, with the help of the Republican Party, make some real sweeping changes?  Lets just say 'Good Luck' seeing Mrs. Clinton in four years (maybe 30+)

Now I believe Hillary is a respectful woman, and I believe she may have performed spectacularly..  But, I (personally) believe the risk of someone doubting her ability to act, outweighs any potential harm that Trump is believed, capable of doing..  I also cant say that I was ever behind her ideas of "8th month abortions"..   More importantly, Ive grown tired of hearing how America is Great, and/or has been.  Id enjoy seeing that Greatness..  (Sadly, I just dont believe Hillary has it in her)  As Trump stated 30 years...

"Don't be afraid to give up the good to go for the great." John D. Rockefeller

Basically, I wouldn't lose any sleep on this loss..  I believe it was in fact, inevitable..

Heres a good read..  That same year, the then-40-year-old was awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor among 79 other Americans. The award was meant to honor prominent citizens of foreign ancestry   https://www.yahoo.com/news/last-30-years-look-back-120517462.html

P.S.  January 20th will be the Official Kick-off date..

I predict this thread will run several pages.
I am going to build a great thread. And nobody builds threads better than me, believe me. And I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great great thread on this forum and I’ll have Joe pay for this thread.

We all thought political threads were going to go away Nov 9. The worst part of trump winning is that  this won't happen for another 4 years.

Oh lighten up.  Trump brings comedy back.  The Mainstream Comics really liked Obama and never really had their heart into mocking him  Trump will be comedy gold.

Let's do this.  Maybe he doesn't wreck the economy and our global relations.  Maybe this all republican house/senate can improve upon the poor first run of national healthcare.

Or, we'll all be covered in nuclear fallout.  Either way it should be exciting.

He is a total loose cannon.  He could say anything at anytime.  It will be interesting if his ego can be handled.  Going from a hyper-politically correct administration to this will be entertaining especially watching the people who can't stand him having to cover him and pretend to act respectful.

Exactly.

Campaign promises are just that.  He isn't going to build a wall, deport 11 millions people, ban muslims, or completely trash the ACA.

CNN is speculating how Trump is going to arrive at the White House.  Trump should shock them all and parachute in.

The ACA trashed itself.  He just needs to put it out of its misery.

Im guessing the wall will actually exist in some places just so he can point to it.  More likely we will just see a massive increase in Border Patrol.

Hopefully the deportation process will be streamlined to increase efficiency and increase throughput.  Obviously he isn't going to deport 12MM people though.

He can't ban Muslims, but I don't expect to see a lot of Muslim refugees being accepted.

Shtick aside, I'll be satisfied if he can create a macro environment that's business friendly and not screw up the parts of the economy that are working. Part of being progressive is wanting progress, so let's start making progress.

The ACA is done.  Logistically R's can't just pull the plug without backlash.  It'll slowly be phased out over the next four years with bits of legislation and underfunding, if it isn't crushed by the stampede of insurer's leaving due to the "risk corridors" no longer being funded by Obama slush money.  I envision legislation that allows people that meet certain "uninsurable" criteria to be allowed onto Medicare, so no one will truly miss Obamacare when it's just a footnote to a failed Presidency.

I think you're spot on about the wall.  He'll point to more border patrolmen as a "wall of agents" and wash his hands of it.
