Saw them here in Atlanta back in November (December?). Small venue and we were right up front. The Blasters opened for them, and then Junior Brown, who was f'n amazing, came out. The only downside, and it was pretty annoying, was that Big Sandy was a special guest, and took up a bunch of The Rev's time. I didn't come to see Big Sandy.

His alter ego Jim Heath is a mainstay of the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly festival.  It's cool that a headliner will spend his off days sitting in with other artists and playing in pickup bands.

His set with Jason D. Williams last year was a highlight.  I never saw this video until today but the guy filming it was standing almost directly behind us.  We didn't make it to VLV this year because of Mrs. Eephus' Achilles but we've already booked our hotel room for 2019.

One thing about Big Sandy is that Robert loves to talk

I feel pretty fortunate to have caught them live in the mid-late 90s growing up.  They seemingly played every single weekend for awhile in Deep Ellum.

When they started touring with the Toadies I thought they would make it nationally, but things really died down hype wise after that and for the most part they fell off my radar.

I know they are touring and doing albums again, but I can't say I've really kept up with anything and never really got into much of their stuff past the early smokem/FCG content.

I love Junior Brown. I owned the album with Highway Patrol on Curb Records back when.

That's all sorts of awesome.  I love how his "alter ego" is Jim Heath. I never knew that.

One of my favs. Have caught them about ten times - always in a small venue. Jim puts on a show.

Big Little Baby and Jezebel are always highlights for me.

Weird. Al Jourgensen produced/engineered Liquor In The Front.

Never knew that until a few nights ago. No wonder I love it so.
