She was also the one that accepted the check at the fun run.I like they used the same stripper that was at Bob Vance's bachelor party, must be the only one in Scranton.
Lot of under-the-radar faces from the past. The real estate agent who sold Jim & Pam's house was Carol, Michael's former girlfriend (and Carell's real-life wife).was it really?I like they used the same stripper that was at Bob Vance's bachelor party, must be the only one in Scranton.that's good.
Definitely was, you could see it in his face.I think it was also the same actor that played Meredith's son going back years.
I guess the point was for characters to get an appropriate resolution. I think we got that with both of these characters (Roy's Wedding showed he had grown up) and Clark's encounter with Jan showed she was still a sex-crazed maniac.I was slightly surprised that we had no Jan or Roy cameos (although I have no idea how they'd have written either character into the episode) and that there was no interaction (even a look) between Michael and Toby.
I wasn't expecting Michael to unload on him, but I thought they might have Toby try to cut in when Michael was dancing with Dwight or something. Neither here nor there really, I just always loved the dynamic between those two.Ned Ryerson said:I guess the point was for characters to get an appropriate resolution. Re Michael/Toby- It was pretty clear they wanted to show a more mature, less petty Michael Scott. Considering the terrible state that Toby was in, for Michael to push him further would have been too much.Evilgrin 72 said:I was slightly surprised that we had no Jan or Roy cameos (although I have no idea how they'd have written either character into the episode) and that there was no interaction (even a look) between Michael and Toby.
I didn't catch that. Awesome.was it really?I like they used the same stripper that was at Bob Vance's bachelor party, must be the only one in Scranton.that's good.
My only complaint was no Packer in the finale. Would've liked to see him come through with a few inappropriate comments.Evilgrin 72 said:I was slightly surprised that we had no Jan or Roy cameos (although I have no idea how they'd have written either character into the episode) and that there was no interaction (even a look) between Michael and Toby.
Several characters made their final appearance earlier (i.e. Jan working for the White Pages, Roy's wedding.) I was surprised that there was no Holly or Bob Vance. My only complaint was no Packer in the finale. Apparently he was accoring to imdb. DIdn't notice him.Wasn't Vance at the wedding? I thought I saw him there.

Good call - another cameo I'd have expected to see.My only complaint was no Packer in the finale. It really is wonderful. I didn't watch until about a year ago. It's probably my 2nd favorite comedy ever now. No idea why it took me so long (probably because I wasn't a huge Carrell fan before)not going to read the whole thread, but I just motored through the first 2.5 seasons of this show over the weekend on Netfilx. not sure why I never watched it before, but it's freakin' amazing. perfect blend of comedy with just enough drama/human elements. makes me realize how underrated Steve Carell is an actor.
Yes. Creed Bratton who plays Creed Bratton on the Office was a member of the Grass Roots.Didn't they say the band was The Grass Roots? Which was the band that Creed Bratton actualy played on in the 60's.Selling drugs, trafficking endangered species meat, and stealing weapons-grade LSD from the military back in the '60s when he was in a band. Why was Creed arrested?

Interesting that you liked the last season, haven't heard many people say that. Just seemed like an enormous cluster#### with new ancillary characters that served little purpose, and the Andy storyline going off the rails. Seemed like the writers and fellow actors must have really despised Ed Helms. I thought the very last episode and the retrospective were both really well done though.I just watched the final season. I thought it was great. I'm somebody who watched the whole thing via Netflix and have been 1 season behind since michael scott's last day in the office. This is one of the best "sitcoms" ever made. It may only be behind Seinfeld and Cheers for me. A great blend of comedy and relationships. I really felt like I knew these people and had an emotional attachment. I'm sorry to see them go.

It really is jarring to see the quality difference from a S2 or S3 episode compared to a late season episode.Saw a couple of episodes on syndication the other night and I'd forgotten how awesome Michael Scott was.
I'd say he's one of the Top 5 best characters ever created on television. Maybe the best "comedy" character ever.Saw a couple of episodes on syndication the other night and I'd forgotten how awesome Michael Scott was.
Agree. This show was the greatest thing on TV for a while, then literally fell off a cliff. It was mostly Michael Scott's departure, but the writing in general just got really bad.It really is jarring to see the quality difference from a S2 or S3 episode compared to a late season episode.Saw a couple of episodes on syndication the other night and I'd forgotten how awesome Michael Scott was.
The last season, much like all post-Carrell episodes was uneven.Interesting that you liked the last season, haven't heard many people say that. Andy was never good anyway.
Also, he was filming that movie during the season too.
