I caught the premier of the latest singing show, The Four, last night. Overall, it was OK, but nothing I'd be upset if I missed. Basically, they have four pre-chosen singers and new contestants have to challenge them and try to take their spot. However, before they can challenge them, they must get all four of the judges to agree that they are worthy, which I don't particularly like. 3 out of 4 should be enough IMO. The judges are Sean “Diddy” Combs, DJ Khaled, Meghan Trainor and record label executive Charlie Walk. At the end of the season, one singer will get a record deal.

I saw most of it last night and liked it. It's definitely better than the Voice and I feel like they have a greater chance of giving the world an artist you'll actually hear in the radio...unlike the Voice.

The biggest issue I had was the moving of the bar. For the first guy and Valentina, they said something about needing to be great. For the ridiculous rapper, Diddy said we dont need to put greatness on people, just are they good enough to challenge.
