The cast of Fox’s Utopia is going to have to return to the real world ahead of schedule. The network has decided to cancel the freshman series, originally announced as a reality experiment that would last a whole year. Instead it survived less than two months, having severely underperformed in the ratings.

Fox will pull the Friday night series from its schedule starting this week. It will be replaced by encore episodes of Masterchef Junior. The show’s online live feeds will also shut down later today, though it’s highly unlikely they will show the cast being informed of the show’s cancellation. The cast is expected to receive post-production counseling before being returned to their regular lives.

Im not surprised. it was bad. I watched as i was intrigued. but the producers really messed up with this show. it could have been so much better. ah well. Im sure we will see a few of them on other shows.

my suggestion. download a bunch of big brother uk. now thats great TV. the most recent celebrity one was pretty good.

As I said before it even started the cast would make or break this and from the start it was just too much drama and fighting to even get into what the show should have been about.

The feeds were 1000x better but they went the route of showing only the conflict and not enough of the actual growth going on.An equal mix would have been perfect but with the cast the way it was it just was impossible to not show all the conflict with the personalities they had.

Won't be the first show I liked that got axed and it won't be the last.Fun while it lasted.
