***OFFICIAL*** week 1 abberation or revelation (1 Viewer)

There seems to be alot of people overreacting to player performances (good or bad) in week 1 that either fell way short or exceeded expectations (either week 1 projections or based on relative draft position). Let's try to summarize which of these are a one week outlier, versus a harbinger of things to come. I'll try to make this a master thread, so if there is an existing thread about a particular player (or if you want to start one), post a link here and I'll put it in the first post.

Also, here's a great Buy low, sell high thread for easy reference.

lower than expected:

Brees

LT

LJ

SJax

Bush

Caddy

Westbrook edit: :)

MJD/Taylor

Lee Evans

Braylon Edwards

Colston

higher than expected:

Big Ben

Tony Romo

Clinton Portis

ADP

Marshawn Lynch

Chris Brown

Jordan

Randy Moss

Yeah, he only put up 21 points against the best defense in the NFL.Definitely a sell low prospect.
I'm pretty sure that's not what the OP was saying. Isn't the thread more about discussing players that had disappointing weeks? I think that 1 rushing touchdown and (the other TD was a trick play) was a little less than most people expected. Yes, it was against a good D, but still. This *is* LT we're talking about. Nobody's going to trade him this week.

I'm only listing players that didn't produce the numbers people were expecting. The players with no links are purely placeholders for those who seemed to not meet expectations. Forgive me for going off memory, I didn't see his passing TD in the stat line. I'm not saying he is a bust.

Holy Unnecessary Sarcasm, Batman. LT would've had another rushing TD if not for referees with their heads up their bu#s on the 1 yard line. Unfathomable for LT to have only 25 yards but easy to say don't worry about LT. The Bears D did everything in their considerable power to stop LT and it took, IMO, too long for the Bolts to adjust and take advantage of that.

IMO -

abberations: Brees, LT, S-JAX (maybe moved to revelation with Pace out), Bush, Westbrook, Lee Evans, Colson, Romo, Jordan

revelations: LJ, Portis, Big Ben, Edwards, ADP, Moss

undecided: MJD/Taylor, Lynch, Brown

Westbrook had:

85 yards rushing (on pace for 1360 yards for the season)

6 receptions (on pace for 96 receptions)

46 yards recieving (on pace for 736 yards for the season)

He is on pace for 2095 yards. How is that below expectations. I'd say Westbrook did exactly what he was supposed to do.

Snotbubbles,

You didn't know that Westbrook is expected to score a TD every game? You must have low expectations.

:fishing:

My revelation is that Jerious Norwood needs to get more touches. I understand that Dunn may be a better blocker, but Norwood makes things happen. Heck, Dunn couldn't have helped Atlanta's cause that significantly since Atlanta never made it to the red zone vs. Minnesota.

Dunn: 22 carries 55 rushing yards; 4 receptions 26 rec yards

Norwood: 5 carries 33 rushing yards; 2 receptions 24 rec yards

It is a travesty to the Falcon supporters that the split wasn't at least 50/50.

I'll give you that one. He score 12 FFP this week. Not really a bust this week at all. Like I said, I threw a few names up going off memory :lmao:

I'm a little surprised that Randle El hasn't been mentioned yet, even though I think he's going to be a legit WR2 this year.

Different category, that was Bizarro Randel El visiting our reality for one Sunday.

Given his performance and Moss's three ugly drops, I was joking that maybe they switched jerseys for the game.

Good suggestions here. I'm headed to the Bengals game. I'll update tonight/tomorrow. If there are threads devoted to those players, post them here & I'll update.
