***OFFICIAL*** WHITE SOX THREAD (1 Viewer)

I know that it is WAY too early in the season but I am looking at the same nonsense that I saw last year from this team. If we get good pitching we cannot hit. If we get runs we cannot pitch. I am not at all happy with Pods as a leadoff hitter. If he cannot get his game going soon and the pitching is still a joke we will be 7 games out by the time May hits. Ozzie is about to lose it and I am in his corner. These guys look like they are sleepwalking thru games at times. Not to take anything away from the Tribe- but the Sox have a load of talent and they should be playing better than this. If we get swept we have the Twins coming in next and it could get ugly....

Yes I feel unsure as well. Hopefully MB can get it right. Actually- can someone tell me why he was not the opening day pitcher?

Sweet win over Harden. That kid is super tuff. I fell asleep about 8th inning however and had to check the net for final. With Danks and Vasquez looking good in first starts and our deep bullpen, solid D and strong O I am feeling cautiosly optimistic The ChiSox might once again be good enough that Ozzie can't mess it up.

Still wish we had a true no 1 starter or Contreras get's back to late 05 early 06 form.

And with the talent level in the AL Central -OMG-It is gonna be one nasty division race once again.

 to Contreras

Nice bounce back for him yesterday and more importantly a WIN in OAKLAND! Let's see if Big Jon can get it done today.

Good game and Pods is playing well. If he can keep it going and JD can start to hit we will be OK. Still WAY too many walks!

I know Erstad is playing well, but have you ever seen a hitter look as bad as he did against Harden in his first AB last night? WTF was he trying to do? Any 12 year old off the street could have put a better swing on the ball.

With that being said, it's time to put the Oakland demon to rest...

I wouldn't be surprised to see Anderson the next time we face Harden. Erstad is very bad against Harden in his career 1 for 24 or something, I thought they said.

#### we played so good until the 9th :wall: :wall: :wall:
Other than only scoring 1 run that is. Wouldn't this been a good spot to use Anderson for Pods? He might have made a better throw at home on the tying run and if that failed not let the ball bounce off his head on the game winner. Doh, Pods you love him or hate him or both. I subscribe to both Love his O hate his D.

If big Bobby could have just nailed it down we would have been fine. :wall:

Just saw the box score.... disgusting. Garland pitches a gem and Jenks blows it. 2 in a row in Oakland would have been HUGE. God that pisses me off.

Tough loss but the starting pitching is coming around. Garland retired the last nine batters he faced and he should have never came out of the game. Someone needs to tell Bobby to chill out. He gets the ball and he is too amped up. Yeah you want the closer to be ready to go and perhaps this is his thing but the hitters know this and they come out agressive. However, they still have a hard time hitting his fastball and with a 1-2 count on Walker he hangs a curve. That was a terrible pitch. His line was a joke. He could have thrown him 3 heaters in a row and Walker would have went down. I saw Ellis coming up w those bags jammed and I knew church was out. Yet another guy that kills the Sox! OK let's hope that MB can take the ball and have a good outing....

Did that ball bounce off of Pods' head yesterday to end the game. I was just watching it on MLB.com and I swear it bounced right off of his head. WTF.

Ohhh man that was a solid win! MB really buckled down when he had to and the bullpen is showing some signs of being very good this year. Not as GREAT as the Detroit Kittens. I love the aggressive nature of the runners taking bases and forcing teams to play on their heels defensively! Let's keep the walks down and get the bats going. We will halt the momentum with the offense if we have to play in Cleveland's cold so maybe we can play in Brew town and keep the bats going! Come on boys a little pay back time for the Tribe!
