Nothing like pissing away a chance to gain some more ground by losing to the worst team in baseball
Gain ground on whom?
Send me a memo when the Tigers win a season series from any of the probably playoff teams.

GA --

Tigers have taken many a series this year from potential playoff teams (including the White Sox).

'season series'.... White Sox 9, Tigers 3 (so far). :)

the last time I looked the only win that really matters is the 4th win in the World Series, just take a quick look at the following notablesthat failed to win it all:Seattle '01 116 wins

A's '01 102 wins

A's '02 103 wins

Yanks '02 103 wins

Yanks '03 101 wins

Yanks '04 101 wins

SF '03 100 wins

:own3d: :own3d: Twins, A's, Red Sox, Cards, White Sox

I hate when we make KC look good.nice bunt Pods.
Could Pods be any worse right now, seriously.
I really don't mean this to be an ###, I'm being serious. What was Kenny Williams thinking? What was the rationale behind Pods for Carlos Lee?
I don't think the WS win the world series last year without PODS. He had a magical year last year when things were good. He's not so good when he's under some pressure to perform. Besides hitting for a decent average, he's done of the little things he did last year to act as a sparkplug.

When they dealt Carlos Lee they weren't selling out games and they were trying to free up money (for more pitching) and they got a leadoff man.

It worked last year... but Pods is not the long term answer.

Wait until September callups... the future will arive. :)

When you guys gonna beat somebody that sucks?
Hey!! Did you hear that thud? That was Verlander hitting the rookie wall
I thought it was Polanco pulling the goalie too hard.....
Both incorrect. It was actually the sound of the Sox failing to gain ground, yet again........
Yet again? :lmao: :lmao:
I agree :lmao: :lmao:
The last time I checked they had the 2nd best record in MLB - and they don't have any starters dropping like flies. :)

How are the WS doing tonight?
Not losing ground to the Tigers. For some unknown reason, the White Sox have always had problems with the bottom feeders. A few years ago, they couldn't beat the Tigers for anything.Check out the White Sox starting outfield tonight too btw... Ross Gload and Rob Mackowiak?!?!?? Cintron started in place for Uribe, but he's been swinging the bat white heat red hot as of late.

I've been way more impressede with Cintron than Uribe.

Let's see.....when's the last time before tonight they failed to gain ground when the Tigers lost.......hmmm, well it didn't happen at all last weekend.

I can simplify this. The Tigers just finished 3 games against the Red Sox. The White Sox just finished their 3rd game against KC. Not only have the White Sox failed to gain ground, they actually lost ground. Regardless of the Sox record against us head to head if they can't make the games up during these periods it won't matter. That's all I'm trying to say.

The White Sox seem to have an annoying habit of playing to the level of their competition. They've done fairly well against the top teams but get lacksadaisical against teams they should crush.

Bravo to Ozzie.

Sees him get hit hard a couple of times in a row and is smart enough to pull him.

Let's hope Cotts can get the job done

WTF is wrong with this guy? It has to be mental at this point.
Maybe he feels a little stepped over with all these bullpen guys brought in but at his best he is a early setup man and 1 hitter guy, but unfortunately he hasn't been at his best for quite some time.
