Think they are going to break this team down in July? They have some moveable pieces that are not getting any younger and some expiring contracts iirc.

I don't hold a CWS towel. Looking for your guys opinion. I saw them as the 4th place team before the year and while there is alot of baseball left, I don't see them making ending up in the top two of this division. I honestly would hope you guys still have hope for this year, but if things stay the same come June/July, what do you think will happen? That is an honest question.Also read this article the other day...Couch

I've also seen a few other snippets hinting at a dismantling of this team if things don't change, although I'm not going to search for those links.

 
Bulls are done and if they just pour it on that NBA is a fix. The WS are a mess right now. If Thome AND Pods come back and they get hurt again they are done and then it is time to rebuild. I think if this happens it might be time for Ozzie to go. The way that he throws the praises around about the Twins they might have a spot for him in their organization. Pods is hurt, Thome is hurt, Crede sucks, Paulie sucks, JD sucks, Uribe sucks, Gooch really sucks, Makoviach sucks, Cintron sucks, the bullpen is solid when we are losing and they suck when we have a lead and Big Mark is pouring it on because of his contract and Ozzie has no idea about leaving a starter in. 100 pitches is way too much for these starters these days. They might as well be wearing black and white skirts this team. Where is Bill Veck when u need him. Yeah- I am pissed!

:lol: It's just stupid. We went from almost winning our 3rd game in a row against a quality team on the road, to having one of the strongest parts of our team lose it for us. If the bats ever heat up on the team we could be very scary again with the good pitching we have been getting. Wait for Thome to come back and Pods in a few weeks then we will know roght around July where we stand.
 
I am going to rip this team again. They seem to respond well! This lousy team of skirt wearing Suzie-Q's needs to put the bat down and start wearing the lipstick. That will get 'em going! Heard Farmer and the Dahl show and he said that Pods is a week off and Thome will be doing some work in the Minors and then be back in a week as well. We are going to know about this lineup come June 1st. I am still PO'd that Ozzie wants to play good will guy in the division. I understand playing the game with respect but this is war.....

 
Yes I like Sweeney as well. 3-0 lead has me nervous. I hope that Jose can go the distance so we can just get a win and get out of the Rollerdome....

 
That was a nice win but I have to keep up the verbal. These silly Sox players are probably going to lose 2 of 3 to the Royals. They can play well w the Tigers and some of the other good teams but they bow to the candy teams. KC and Tampa Bay might just own these girls!

 
The White Sox had only FIVE games in april against losing clubs. Strike that. THEY'VE PLAYED FIVE GAMES AGAINST LOSING CLUBS FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON. That's brutal. It would be dumb to rip this team. They survived that start and are above .500. I'm an Indians fan and 2007 White Sox have my respect.

Guess what? For the ENTIRE month of June, the White Sox play NOBODY WITH A WINNING RECORD.

Actually, let's expand that further. On May 23rd, the White Sox conclude a 3-game home series against the 17-16 Oakland Athletics. They don't play another club with a winning record until July 16th.

THE WHITE SOX WILL PLAY 48 CONSECUTIVE GAMES AGAINST TEAMS AT OR BELOW .500.

That is insane. The White Sox could make up for oceans of time.

 
Personally, I'd love to see the White Sox brass blow this team up before they really dig into the easy part of their schedule. This team scares me as an Indians fan.

:rolleyes: Didn't know that, thanks BGP. I guess it gives us hope for the next few months.Thome coming back will be huge and hopefully they keep Ryan Sweeney up for the rest of the year. Should be interesting as the White Sox starting 5 has been lights out thus far.

They could go on a nice run here. 3 in Minny with Mauer freshly on the DL and missing Santana in the rotation. Then it's at home for 3 with KC.I'd like to think they could go 5-1 through this.Getting back into this race without Thome and Pods would be big.

4-2 is not too bad and they should have won that 1st game in Minny, but the bullpen blew up.This team has done what it needed to do with Pods and Thome out and that's hold their ground. Sitting 4 games out, having the schedule in front of them that BGP laid out and Thome starting a rehab assignment tomorrow has this team in very good shape. I guess Pods isn't too far behind either, but I have no problem seeing Sweeney out there everyday.Hopefully they can go toe to toe with the Yankess and win their 4th straight seriesGO YOU WHITE SOX!!!!!!!
 
What is Konerko's deal? Lingering injury or just not seeing decent pitches?

I picked up AJ for while Mauer is on the DL. Saw he batted 3rd or 4th the other day.

 
Paul is having a tough start as are many of the Sox hitters.

Hey BGP I can care less if the Sox have been playing teams above .500. The bottom line w this team is they are looking like the same team from the second half of last year. They are not playing as a team....

 
Wish the night could have went a bit better. :bye: I wasn't able to watch it but from what I hear Contreras looked pretty good.
