Yeah this is a solid theory. Explains all the wins vs the Cubs this weekend.

They are a .500 team. I didn't think so until just recently but they have regressed. As a Tigers fan I'm not worried about them anymore as the Twins and Indians are a much bigger threat. Twins will run off 20 of 22 at some point and the Indians will fall off a bit and the Sox are a solid but unspectacular team. They will have a say in the AL Central championship but only by proxy as a spoiler. I actually thought they would be better than the Indians this year and I am going to be wrong. And although I do hate the White Sox, I can just as easy hate the Indians or someone else. Sox just don't have enough as they've made some questionable moves and haven't added much. I could be wrong, but 81-81 is about what I expect.

Nice game last night. We need Thome in this lineup healthy for the rest of the year. If this happens we will have a nice season. I do not know if Pods is going to help out this year but the bullpen still scares me. Kenny needs to fix that bullpen and get some pump into the bench with a solid hitter. Seeing how doc detroit is all but saying that the Tigers are the greatest thing since the baseball mitt was invented we should be in the wild card race....

 
Its go time now for the White Sox. Starting tonite, they got 48 straight games against sub-.500 clubs. They prefaced this run by taking 2 of 3 from the Athletics. The White Sox are only 4.5 games out. They should kick out a 4-5 game lead in the Central by the end of this run, if not more.

Great win for the Sox last night.

Got 4 runs off of a quality starter in Shields and the ball Terrero hit out was an absolute bomb.

Bullpen comes through with 2 innings of 1 hit ball and the Pale Hose win it in extras

All aboard the BGP express!!!!

Pablo Ozuna suffered a fractured right fibula and a torn ligament in his ankle during a bad slide into second base in Sunday's game against the Devil Rays.Sounds like a possible season-ending injury for Ozuna. The White Sox will place him on the DL and could call up Brian Anderson to replace him as the left fielder against left-handers. An alternative would be to call up another infielder and give Luis Terrero more time in left field.

What are the odds that Iguchi can get two hits in a game this year?

I think Kenny Boy has to answer the bell with this limp team he has given us this year. All I heard about was how this bullpen was going to be solid. Well they are about as solid as wet tissue paper.

Hey stalker- how many times did I jump off the bandwagon? This team sucks and you can ride the wagon straight into 4th place for all I care. I will come back here in September and I will see the same pathetic team because this is a roster that resembles a September roster that is well out of it. You can waste yer time watching Cintron, Big Rob and a cavalcade of chumps in the bullpen (gee- just like last year Limpy) but until this team decides to field some major league players they are going in the toilet compliments of Kenny Williams. So- shake yer pom-poms at the Cell and keep watching this spindrift. This is the reality of things so bring something to dispute it junior. This team will not even sniff the playoffs and they will get pounded by all the teams that are going to the playoffs. There is a difference between a team with heart and a team that just picks up a check. If you cannot see that don't rip in on me...
 
Cintron, Machowiak, T. Nixon, J. Michaels, Infante, Inge (maybe), Punto, Kubel.....

Seems like all of the "good" AL Central teams have to rely on at least a couple guys that hardly strike fear in hearts.

Matter of fact, as I type this Machowiak hits a home run. Since when do we expect perfect rosters? The biggest problem the White Sox have is that they missed a month of Thome and Crede/Konerko/Dye haven't hit like they will.

No doubt in my mind that the Central will be a 4 team race all season barring serious injuries along the way.

I just do not see it at all with the WS. Big Rob and Cintron are not every day players. The only good Kenny did was bringing in Erstad. Otherwise-it is the same team as last year- small ball with no small ball. Garland is falling apart and when that pen gets in there it will be lights out. Th Twins might climb in there but the Sox need to think about the future now.....

Believe me, I understand. Starting the year with the Punto's/Ponson's/Ortiz's and no Liriano isn't the Twins team I wanted either. But I do think it's too soon to throw dirt on them. Too much of your lineup is underperforming to wave the white flags. If those guys start to hit and they still can't win, well that would be a different story.

I respect what your thoughts are but I have seen this team in this mode since last July. They are playing with no heart and everywhere up and down the dial and on the team we have been waiting for the bats to come around. With the Sox it is the bats, no steals, no one can bunt no more, the bull pen stinks, the starting pitching is good (and I would keep that intact), the defense is suspect and the starting lineup changes on a daily basis.
