Oh I thought I'd let you guys know I put $30 on the Yankees to win the series.

Sorry guys..... CLE is a :confused:

 
Joe is going to get murdered for starting Wang game 1. I would have preferred Pettite just to get Duncan's bat in the lineup, as he could have snuck him in at 1B. As it stands, Matsui is lost. Overall though, I think Wang has earned the shot.

Wang is your #1 guy IMO. I think the problem is that you and some of your fellow Yankee fans underestimated the Indians. I know them about as well as you know a division opponent and they are no joke. Sabathia is one thing, Carmona and his sinker vs a fly ball team is another. Yankees need to win this game.

Wang is your #1 guy IMO. I think the problem is that you and some of your fellow Yankee fans underestimated the Indians. I know them about as well as you know a division opponent and they are no joke. Sabathia is one thing, Carmona and his sinker vs a fly ball team is another. Yankees need to win this game.

Well, he's the number one, and Sabathia is somewhat of a groundball pitcher, but I'd rather have my ground baller against their ground baller on the road, so the infield gets the same delicate manicuring(ie a wetdown at the dish.) Pettite throws grounders too though, so he'll benefit. I defiantely didn't underestimate the tribe, but Wanger has nothing tonight. If he's giving up homers, he's got nothing.I will agree they need to win this game, because CC won't lay two eggs in a row, and if you can beat him a game, you have to do it. if they get a lead, damn, you might see Joba for 2, Mo for 2 if they are leading in the 6th! Not that I condone it, but if we are going to Duncan already, I'll put nothing past Joe. Realistically, you want a split in Cleveland. PS, these announcers are making me sick, they want the all time playoff hits leader to drop a bunt to put a lefty up against a lefty when they are down 2. Do these guys even watch baseball or know who Derek Jeter is?

I dislike the Indians as much as I dislike the Yankees so I could care less FWIW. But you predicted a sweep and I'm telling you as a guy who watched the Tribe almost single handedly knock my team out of the playoffs, this team is no joke. I don't think the Yankees are better than the Tigers, and I saw what the Indians can do. Yankees need to win this game.

I thought they would get to CC, but if you look at my prediction, I figured close games. Who could have seen this offense coming. I was definately respectful of Pronk and Vic, but I'll admit I didn't count on Asdrubiel Cabrera going yardball. I'm noticing its lucky when I get dressed to go the gym, if I can keep this up for 3 hours.Will the Cubs-Dback game be over before this one?

The Yanks pen is basically Vizcaino, Chamberlain and Rivera....Other than that it's a totsl crpashoot...You weren't going to bring any of them into the game at that point...

this guy has been NAILS since he got called up...I know I posted it about 2 weeks ago, but when he was put in the 2 hole the Indians went something like 14-2 and he had aVORP rate second only to Utley for 2Bers. Granted that slowed down a little over the last 2 weeks, but this has been a totally different club since was brought up.

I was watching this on Sopcast and whoever is streaming the game just decided to turn it to the MSG network for the hocky game! :popcorn:
