this is gonna be a heartbreaking loss. And now the papers are gonna start up with this ARod #### again. It has nothing to do with the pitcher who is filthy tonight
Exactly, how many hits do the yanks have 3? It will be Arods fault. Rivera needs to show up today, hes had some poor games this year.

I try to pull for Arod...but you can't be THIS BAD in the postseason and not be a target...in any market.

Yanks almost need a blowout game in the playoffs and ARod hit one of those 9th inning HRs where the Yanks are up by 5 R just to get the poor guy to relax. That was a heck of atbat he put up against Carmona in the 9th.

I'm watch mlb.com's gamecast so I don't see the bugs. What's going on? A swarm of mosquitoes? Where? All over or just around the pitching mound? Details please.
They are gnats.Great Lakes guy, heard of them?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GnatWikipedia is already on the case.
Didn't the announcers call them Canadian Soldiers or something? Look to big to be gnats to me.
They're basically flying ants.

Yeah I'll go with that. They aren't gnats for christ's sake.

Great Lakes have some big ####### gnats. :goodposting:

uh oh..little nerves showing
if by nerves you mean gnats
didn't seem to effect carmona or rivera :shrug:i said right away i didn't like bringing him in in the 7th.the playoffs are different, just ask arod. :banned:
Hes pitched the 7th and 8th inning many times this year. The gnats effected Joba. Dont know why. We're gonna have to see postgame interview for his comments. But it was clear the gnats affected him and not the playoff atmosphere.

great 2 batters. he's in for the eighth right?
Im guessing this is the 1st time youve ever seen him pitch
no tool, it isn't. regular season pressure & playoff pressure are 2 different animals.
:banned: Joba can handle the pressure fine. You see the 7th inning? All of a sudden the bugs came and it distracted him in the 8th. Hes never been that wild all year. Please keep fishing elsewhere.
 :hophead: everybody else handled the bit knat dilemma.

Anyway, why did Torre leave Ankiel in?
did he not get out of the inning?
:banned: You're right, who cares about the tying run. 2 walks, 2 HBP, couple of wild pitches, and a laser to first that was a double 99 X out of a 100, and...THE ####### TYING RUN...but, wait....He got the last out, you're right. Guy was money.
Umm when exactly would you have pulled him? He had runner on 3rd with 2 outs. Pull him out then?

Probably after the 4 straight balls to start it off. You could tell he didn't have the nerves for it right then. Next pitch? Backstop. At the very latest, after he plunked him.

That's what out of towners say about chicks in Northern Michigan also but I know this to be false.
