Officially out of contention, looking to next year (1 Viewer)

Well with 3 games left until our league playoffs start and my team officially out of contention I thought it might be time to start looking to the rookie draft. It's unlikely I'll have the #1 pick but I'm curious to know who the top 4-6 impact rookies might be.

Last year the consensus top 3 fantasy rookies were

1. Adrian Peterson

2. Marshawn Lynch

3. Calvin Johnson

There seemed to be a pretty significant drop off after that.

Obviously McFadden is the consensus #1 right now. What does the rest of the pack look like?

Where do Slaton, Hart, DeShaun Jackson, Forsett, etc. rank?

It's impossible to gauge. The college season isnt over and no one has been drafted yet.

You really cant gauge anything until the NFL Draft.

Sure you can. Those were the top 3 rookie picks going back to last winter--Peterson/Lynch/CJ. You can make all kinds of decisions now, if you draft on talent, as opposed to opportunity. I used to draft one way, but Eric Shelton and JJ Arrington convinced me to switch strategy.

J-Rock, do a search. There's some good threads out there already. Ah screw it, I did the search for you:

I disagree, I think you can come up with a top 4-6 college players now. It is late enough in the college season to where a consensus can be formed on some possible top collage players. Talent not draft position should dictate things. The cream of the crop almost always rises to the top. I for one don't watch a lot of college football and it would be nice to hear from people who do watch college football their take on things. Never to early for a dynassty player to be looking ahead.
