1763 - At what is now Mackinow City, Michigan, Chippewas capture Fort Michilimackinac by diverting the garrison's attention with a game of lacrosse then chasing a ball into the fort. :lol:
1774 - The Quartering Act of 1774 is enacted allowing governors to house British soldiers in colonial America.
1924 - Calvin Coolidge signs the Indian Citizenship Act into law.
1964 - The Palestinian Liberation Organization is formed.
1997 - Timothy McVeigh is convicted of 15 counts of murder and conspiracy for his role in the Oklahoma City bombing.
