We have a 200 credit budget for the auction tonight. 12 teams 9 starters 9 bench 216 total players will be drafted including defenses and kickers. Each season we may keep one player from the end of last season's roster for +5 over what we paid last year, or over what a trade partner paid. That includes waiver pickups. +5 over WW bid.

For reference, players like Gibbs, Barkley and Bijan will be going for around 62-67 each. Lamb probably breaks 60 and if J Chase were available he'd go 65. It is 0.5 PPR QRRWWTFDK and there are bonus points for long TDs and QBs get 6pts per TD.

Here are the keepers and their keeper price this year (so yes it is deducted already from their 200 budget):

J Chase - 35
J Taylor - 26
CMC - 25
C Brown - 16 (me)
Puka - 15
Higgins - 12
Kyren Williams - 11
Nico - 11
Bowers - 10
Charb - 9 (I have him projected as only being worth 7 so will be giving my buddy some grief here)
McConkey - 8
Bucky - 7

Got my spreadsheet locked and loaded with a few pivots. This thing takes 2.5 - 3 hours and requires intense concentration the whole time. It's the draft I look forward to the most each year even though it's remote. We're all gonna jump on a Zoom though. Even more distracting that way.

My prediction on JMC is 12. My "value" RBs and WRs are often the same as just this one other guy in our league and we often end up in bidding wars with each other. It's funny to experience IMO and I'm wondering who the most likely player is that he and I will go head to head on. JCM is my first guess.

I have a few others but I don't even wanna say their name right now.

Those keeper prices on some of these guys seem really low on last years prices.

Or maybe I’m misunderstanding?

Someone paid $6 for Nico last year?
Chase Brown was virtually free last year in the draft… I don’t understand how he’s $16?
Kyren for $11 doesn’t make any sense?

Nico & Kyren were both 1 dollar *two* years ago. It goes up another 5 each year. Yes I grabbed Chase Brown for 11. These auction drafts are super top heavy and there are some incredible deals that emerge. And not a lot of people believed in Chase Brown going into last year.

Maybe the most top heavy aggressive auction draft to date tonight. Weeeeeee.

Ok so my final roster and prices:

Mahomes 9
Brown 16, Cook 44, Harvey 15, Skattebo 7, Tuten 3, Ford 3, Marks 1
JSN 33, Wilson 29, Egbuka 15, Ayomanor 1, Doubs 1, Thornton 1
LaPorta 18, M Taylor 1
Packers 1
Cam Little 2

200 total

Barkley 75
Bijan 69
Gibbs 67
Jeanty 63
Jefferson 62
Lamb 62
Henry 61
It's funny how pricing dynamics vary from auction league to auction league.

In my keep-4 league, we have a $250 cap instead of $200, and 20 roster spots to fill, which is more than most, but no one wants to go over $60 for anyone. So we got:

Bijan $60
Lamb $60
Jeanty $50
Jefferson $49 (to me)
CMC $49
Henry $42

Barkley, Chase and Gibbs were kept.
