I have the same decision. I am going with Davis.
I also have the same choice: Davis or Daniels. Right now, I've got Daniels starting. Just wondering what were the factors for you choosing Davis.
Would be interested as well. My thought is that Davis may have more upside as a primary target, but he is also more likely to produce the magical 1-10, 2-20 stat line, especially with a 3rd string QB at the helm.
My feeling is that I like Davis with Hill (6 targets in the 2nd half...good security valve) better than Sage with Daniels. I feel I will get 5 pts from Daniels, but could get MORE with Davis. Floor for Davis is 3 pts, ceiling is 12+. I will take the 2 pt risk in favor of the possible 7 pt. gain.
 I'm starting Davis over Daniels as well.

My trouble with Davis is that he got the targets in garbage time when MIN was just closing the game out. Not sure how Hill performs when having to execute against a true defensive gameplan. In my case, I am comfortable with the safer play, even though the potential upside may not be as great. Also, having AJ, Daniels is a hedge if they clamp down on him. Daniels is just more consistent, IMO

This is a valid point. However, I'm not sure how much of a defensive gameplan the Bengals can put up. Hill will have a week of practice under his belt, and there's nothing like going against a defense like Cincinnati's to boost the guy's confidence a little bit. I think what it comes down to is that Daniels ceiling isn't much higher than Davis' floor. This is a primetime game too, so the players will be juiced for it just like everyone is tonight. It's a tough call, I'll agree with that. I'm pulling my hair out over it.

Cincy's D has actually been playing better as of late. No juggernaut, but better. I would disagree to some extent about Davis' floor being only slightly below Daniels' ceiling. Daniels, since week 1, has not posted a 1-2 catch night, while Davis has. Guess I am not comfortable with the potential black hole known as the SF offense. Took the risk last week with Daniels vs TB and Davis vs. MIN. Not this week.

Good input by all. Boy, you know it's nut-cutting time when you get a detailed discussion over which of 2 middle-tier TE's to start. :P Best of luck to all.

What few targets Daniels has gotten are just not that high quality - when Schaub was in, the play developed to the point where Daniels would flash wide open in the middle of the field - that just isnt happening with Rosenfels.

Hou plays Den Thursday... and good PPR TEs have been $$$$$$ against the Denver D since the Corners shutdown the WRs and force the ball to the TE. So looking at the Match up; Daniels matches well against the smallish Denver LBs.Daniels Stats With Sage at QB.Week 4 @ Atl: 7 Targets / 6 recs for 96Week 7 vs Ten: 5 Targets / 2 for 20 (Sage threw 35 passes for 290 and 4 TDs that week)Week 8 @ SD: 6 Targets / 4 for 35*Week 9 @ Oak: 5 Targets / 4 for 41Week 13 @ Ten: 6 Targets / 3 for 42Week 14 vs TB: 5 Targets / 3 for 20 1TD*only Match up that was in the top 10 of pts allowed to TEs at the time of the game (SD was #9). All the other Matches were not "good" match ups for TEs.So as much as I'm loving the match up this week and the Target #s that Daniels sees with Sage @ QB (I'm considering Benching my WR#3 since they have a terrible match up and play Daniels as a 2nd TE)... I also got the feeling that this will be the Classis Fantasy Play-off Trap Game. The Game where it looks like a sure thing and then you get 3 pts from 2 rec for 10 yds.
the play off trap effectg is why i sat both Cutler and Owens Daniels. So far its working

Nice job by Rosenfels hanging in on the pass play to set up the TD.

Back forth on this one.Owens has started 9 games for me, Scheffler 3 (Scaife started WKs 1-2).Tough calls on both TE and DT this week, but will probably stay with the status quo (Daniels and GB). Just don't see enough upside to starting Scheffler; I thought he had a good thing going with Cutler last year, but he's been hit or miss all year.
I hope u choose Sch...

I did...at the last minute before leaving for the holiday party tonight, dropped my worthless backup QB, picked up Scheffler (again), and plugged him in. Just got home, hammered, and happy as can be to see he hit paydirt.

Pretty close for Pt. 1. Lets see how Davis does tomorrow night, now. GO SHAUN HILL
