And I will go on record saying it will be at least 65/35 in favor of PT.
Based on what exactly? We can debate who will get the bulk of the carries, but I'm pretty sure most people here believe that MB can perform well in that offense. Some will say that PT can do it better but I don't think many will say if PT were to go on the IR tomorrow that MB would be the suck in NOLALadsud said:Wheres the MB sucks option?
Bush will almost exclusively be catching...probably close though...i say 55-40-5.....None of the above. 55-25-20 Thomas, Bell, Bush.
Yeah, but this one's a poll. Duh.To the OP:Just what we needed another thread on this topic. Tune in for the answer on Sunday. Opinions on this subject don't mean squat with the injury uncertainty of PT going on. Infact I posted a video of PT on the other thread (before the injury) and even then he said he didnt know how the carries would be distributed so how the hell can anyone else know? But since you want opinions here is mine: With Bell getting more of the first team reps in practice while PT is limited I would lean his way for this weekend. After that back to the drawing board. I think most people are just going to vote according to where ever FBG's , Roto World, etc. have these guys ranked and not based on any true revealing insight into Sean Payton's game plan.
Well if you want that just go to the live Saints chat that starts at noon today. The Saints sports writers will be taking questions live from the saints practice facility. They may be able to give you a better prediction than someone who lives far away that probably doesn't even follow Saints football outside of what they read in fantasy football articles. here is the link:Yeah, but this one's a poll. The difference is, I want a prediction. I don't care about if this or if that. As of right now, what do YOU think will happen? At the end of the season, what will the numbers look like?
Sounds like they're going 65/35 PT.You don't want to share your prediction? You keep saying Payton will go with the hot hand. To be honest I wonder if you will ever see a trend. Bell might get the hot hand or PT and then next week, Bell might have the fresh legs. To me it sounds very "up in the air" as to who will get carries. But unless either Bell or PT is stinking up the joint I dont see the majority of the carries going to just 1 running back because that is not what has been communicated. Not by the coach not by the sports writers and not by the players. Also this week, I'd bench them both if I had better options. Its going to be an air show IMOWill we have PT and Bell going this weekend and if so how will they split? 12:12 Mike Triplett, T-P: Apparently we've got some fantasy football players in here. ... Thomas has been limited on the injury report this week with a hamstring injury, but he has participated in every practice and it doesn't sound like a serious ailment -- just a nagging injury they're resting up. So I expect him to remain the No. 1 rushing option.Mike Bell will also be active, however, and I expect the Saints to mix him in a good bit to keep fresh legs out there. ... Plus, the Giants have a physical front that might be difficult to run against. ... Plus, the Saints probably won't be running out the clock with a 10- or 14-point lead in the fourth quarter. So add that all together and I think Thomas will be fine, but he probably won't put up the kind of numbers he's been offering the last few games.
I understand what you're saying, and have been saying, about what has been communicated. I guess we PT supporters feel that over the long haul, he will outperform MB and thus force the trend in his direction. It sounds like you don't see one of them outperforming the other (other than week to week). To be honest I wonder if you will ever see a trend. Bush hasn't had 18 touches all year and I don't see why it would start this week with a "healthy" Thomas and Bell. He also hasn't had a 50-50 split with the other backs touch wise. The splits have been week 1 - Bush 30%, Bush 42%, Bush 45% and Bush 25%. On the season he's averaged a 35% touch split and I see no reason why it would increase this weekend but some reasons it might decrease. If I had to guess I'd say something like....Bush 10Thomas 17Bell 12Bush = 18 total touchesPierre = 14MB = 4
Not bad, but I think Bush probably gets close to five yards with his reception.PT - 35 rushes/ 250 yards / 4 TD's /// 6 rec / 150 yds / 2 tdsBell- 2 rushes / -5 yards Bush - 0 rushes / 1 rec / 2 yds
Plus or minus?Not bad, but I think Bush probably gets close to five yards with his reception.PT - 35 rushes/ 250 yards / 4 TD's /// 6 rec / 150 yds / 2 tds

Your an idiot...we all know Bush will have 2 catches!PT - 35 rushes/ 250 yards / 4 TD's /// 6 rec / 150 yds / 2 tdsBell- 2 rushes / -5 yards Bush - 0 rushes / 1 rec / 2 yds
or follows the Saints very closely...50/50. anyone who says anything else likely has an agenda, or is sean payton.
