I am getting my info from: http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/TEN/9619324 & http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2560810
Pacman claims that some woman stole his wallet. He may be right or he may be wrong. Who knows for sure at this point though. Why would he put up such a big fuss unless he was sure about it in his mind? He was drunk and he may be wrong about it, but the point is that he's not letting people steal from him even if it is going to make him look bad in the media's eyes.
You don't make it out of the neighborhoods he's from if you let people walk all over you. He was argueing for what he thought was right. He wanted his wallet and he believed someone stole it. Was it about money? Was it about a picture of a loved one in the wallet? Was it just the principle? Who knows? He didn't hit anyone, he didn't "Mike Doss" the club. He was "disorderly" because he was drunk and upset about being jacked. I understand it.
However the media wants to twist it, it is what it is. The Titans are probably not happy with his name in the police blotter, but he's his own man and isn't going to change who he is because that's helped him survive. As a teammate I'd rather go to war with a guy who isn't going to take shorts and losses on a matter of principle as apposed to a guy who is going to bend over and take it because of feared public perception.
I just can't buy into the "he shouldn't have been there, and he should have just walked away anyways" thinking. That may work for some people, but some people just can't look themselves in the mirror when they go out like a hoe. I can respect the "if you steal from me, we have problems" line of thinking though. It's not about the Titans organization, it's about Adam Jones knowing who he is. He is where he is because of his mindset and any amount of money isn't going to change who he is, that's called principle not thug. Police told him to leave, but ironically he was the victim of a crime. Why didn't they get cracking on that? Did they "profile" him as the type of person who would make that up? I'd be upset too, if I got my wallet stolen then cops showed up and told me to leave. Going to jail for getting robbed makes him a bad guy?
I'm sure that there is more to the story that will come out which will help make things a little more clear. There is another thread dealing with this topic, but the first post has information that has no linked source and replies are just being based off that, so I thought I'd start a different thread to try to keep facts straight.
If you know what his relation to this woman was for sure, post it.
Is he claiming that this woman is his girlfriend or something? Did he just meet her that night? Did he ever give her the wallet to put in her purse for safe keeping?
If you know if the police took his claim of being robbed seriously, post it.
