Pacquiao vs Bradley ...gonna be a good one! (1 Viewer)

Pacquiao's only close fight in the last 7 years was the 3rd fight with JMM and now we're hearing that Jinkee was demanding a divorce and had Manny's head all messed up during that camp and fight night.

I like Manny by a late TKO in this one but I wouldn't be surprised if he cruised to any easy UD. Bradley may be undefeated but the likes of Holt, Alexander, Casamayor, Peterson are nothing compared to what he'll be facing in a focused Pacquiao.

Bradley has yet to have a close fight. He's dominated everyone. This should be a good fight.

I hope pacman wins but struggles...maybe that will draw money mayweather out of his hiding spot.

Shouldn't be that good...Bradley does not counter. He should be easy matchup for PacMan.

Bradley is not a fun fighter to watch, I just hope Pac can set the pace and make it interesting. All 3 undercard bouts feature noteworthy fighters, should be a good card.

He comes to fight and he believes he can win, its not just a payday for him. He trained like an animal and pacman looked soft at the wiegh in.That adds up to a tougher fight than normal for manny IMO.

I'm re-watching Bradley's last fight right now. He has countered everything Casamayor has thrown for five rounds. Her counters aggressively if not technically. I've been a fan for a long time, but envisioning him vs Pacman is tough. He is smaller and we're used to seeing Manny going up in weight, so that's going to be nice for Manny. He is slower, not a ton slower, and he has some very quick combos, but on a round by round basis, Bradley is slower. He is not nearly as explosive. Manny can hurt him at any point in the fight and I have trouble seeing Bradley hurting Manny. It could happen. Bradley has fought some very slick defensive fighters and maybe his most explosive stuff has never landed where someone willing to trade and trade often like Manny will catch something solid. We'll see. I want Bradley to win. I can't see him doing that by outpointing Manny round after round the way JMM has (then got robbed by the judges), but maybe. Bradley and JMM have a lot in commom. JMM more intelligent and way more accurate though.

Bradley is a tougher opponent than Mosley, Margarito, and Clottey, but not as tough as JMM or Cotto. Pac did struggle against JMM and was younger, quicker and in better shape when he beat Cotto. My biggest knock on Bradley is his lack punching power. He rarely seems to land clean hard punches

Bradley may be slower than Pac but he's faster than anyone Pac has fought in a long time, at his lowest weight classes.

I hope Bradley knocks Pacquiao's homophobic ### out.
I wonder how many famous prizefighters are homophobic. I would guess most of them. Manny was dumb enough to be vocal about it.
Based on what?
It's a sport in which machismo is at a premium. Not that most sports don't have a lot of this, but especially boxing, IMO. ETA- Also, let's face it, boxers aren't usually very bright. They aren't exactly your intellectual types. Dumb + machismo can often equal homophobia.

I also watched JMM Casamayor just a bit ago (Bradley's last fight was Casamayor) and I would argue Juan is faster than Timmy. Anyway, I wouldn't have ponied up for this if I didn't think Bradley had a shot. When the fight was announced a few months back my comment here was that Manny may regret taking this fight. All fighters age and with very rare exceptions boxing is a young man's sport.

I gotta feel like Manny making Bradley wait would be extra motivation to come in even angrier, as if he wasn't ready to do battle already. Almost like calling a waiter Garcon in my mind, completely disrespectful.

Manny was watching the celtics game...now hes warming up

I know that, they've only said it like 20 times. But if I was Bradley, I'd feel completely disrespected. That'd light a fire under my butt like none other before a major fight. We'll see, but it's intriguing.

When was the fight supposed to start?? midnight starts for these big PPV are almost getting to be commonplace. Its not like Bradley is waiting in the ring for him.

How were the undercard fights??
Mixed bag. Rigindeaux looked awesome, knocked down his opponent 5 times. Mike Jones vs Randall Bailey was the worst fight ever, but ended with a spectacular upset KO in the 11th. Arce vs some game Puerto Rican was a slugfest for 1 round, but ended in the 2nd in a no contest after an illegal punch damaged Arce's ear drum.

I heard he's be watching them game on Sportscenter this morning and wouldn't be fighting till afterwards. It's not like he sprung a surprise on Bradley or anyone else. Why is he being disrespected?

Definitely some mind games here.

Midnight? I think it's around 9 p.m. in Vegas.

Kevin Iole from yahoo sports was saying that he was hearing they were also delaying the main event to try and sell more PPV's

As someone who watches a lot of English soccer, I'm pretty sure nobody cares what time events start on the east coast other than people on the east coast.Anyhow, I agree that 9 p.m. seems like a pretty reasonable start time for a big fight.
