Palm Beach Fl _ Poor Man's Beach Vacation Help (1 Viewer)

[Rattle and Hum]

I might be the least traveled person you will meet. My wife and I would like to stay at a beach locale near W Palm Beach to include a visit with her sister. PB out of reach for our budget. Are there towns and/or beaches we should consider just north of PB? We just want to relax a few days. I don't drink so not needing top-notch bar life. Thanks!

If you want to stay in the county, there are places north of there, Palm Beach Gardens, Juno Beach, Jupiter, Tequesta are all good places, but still fairly pricey. Going into Martin and St. Lucie counties are cheaper, and still fairly close to PB if you’re adamant about it. Frankly, I like the beaches along that stretch, less crowded, and many PBC beaches charge for parking.

I like Vero Beach and Cocoa Beach. Lots of sharks out there though.

I would have said Boynton about 20 minutes south.

It has good and bad spots, but the further south one goes, the more expensive it is.

Juno and Jupiter up the road are very nice.

I don't believe there are hotels actually on the beach in Boynton.

There used to be a nice Hilton (4 Seasons now?) in Lake Worth - I had my wedding reception there.  Kind of a sketchy area, Lake Worth, but the beach is nice and the hotel is directly on the beach.

I'd look into an airbnb or something near the beach -maybe Delray or Ft Lauderdale, or possibly north of WPB - Jupiter, Stuart, etc.
