I find the line here to a little wacky, Vegas giving Carolina almost no respect for beating Atlanta last week 30-0
I think this will be a competitive game but maybe Vegas knows something we don't.

Lot of talk about Trey Henderson getting more touches this week
Is this just speculation based on the 2-3 fumbles by the 2 guys ahead of him on the depth chart?
Are there local beat writers calling for him to touch the ball more?
Why was Henderson in the doghouse with the coaching staff?

Arguably the most baffling spread of the week. I don't think the Patriots should be 5-point favorites over anyone.
I think both teams will play more of a ground and pound style this week. NE because its the Panthers defensive weakness, and Carolina because they want to protect their young QB with a banged up OL. Its possible Henderson breaks out, but I'd caution its just as liekly he gets rug pulled and its Stevenson again this week.
I think Chuba Hubbard could have a big game. He's been seeing work in the pass game and was unlucky not to get a TD last week.
I think the Panthers win, and honestly are probably the 2nd best team in the NFC South

There is a lot of "Stephenson is not in trouble / Stephenson is not facing any discipline" rhetoric coming from Vrabel and McDaniels. I don't think they like where Henderson is in pass pro yet. If anything weird happens with distribution of carries I think you might see Gibson and RS flip. Having said all that, sane people gave up trying to figure out NE backfield distribution years ago.
wrt the game, I think this is a get right game for NE...which is surprising for me to say as I've been a pretty negative homer since the season started....maybe puting too much into the fact that Gonzales is FINALLY going to play.
