Panthers @ Jets Game Thread (1 Viewer)

Interception. How shocking.

I'll never understand why any fan would ever want Tebow as their passer. He just isn't an NFL passer and never will be.

And he'll never be on any of my rosters. Never ever. You can have him.

If as opposed to drafting team def you could draft the defense that played a certain offense every week, and Tebow was named the starting QB for all 16 games. I would pick the TM def that played the jets in the second round

Tebow with bad throw for interception...he threw it right to the defender like 10 yards down
Nahh bro it's Tebow time! Doesn't matter if he can't throw for #### as long as he can run for 10 yards every now and then! TEBOW TIME!
I don't understand why they don't just lock him in a 6'x6' room all day and have him just keep practicing his arm mechanics? He does other things well, but god his accuracy is horrible (or maybe it's just his decision making which can't be fixed)

I just don't understand the fascination with this guy. I don't get it. Did a 10 team redraft PPR yesterday. In the 9th round the guy who picked up Drew Brees decided it was a good time to draft a backup QB. He takes Tebow. Available QB's included: Freeman, Luck, RGIII, Ponder, Sanchez, etc.The ignorance and media attention surrounding this guy disgusts me. Baffles me. And frustrates me. I am *so* sick of hearing his name.

I decided to come home from my friends house between the 3rd and 4th quarter and turned on the NFL channel on Sirius, who were playing the Jets radio broadcast. Hearing the insane optimism in their voice over the 20 yard Tebow run was sad, especially when they kept talking about how the team could take advantage of it, even after the second coverage sack from hanging on to the ball for two long, and the subsequent interception.

I know that Tebow is just a "winner", but I don't see how you can be willing to put a team's future in his hands. The Panthers second teamers (who haven't looked good so far this preseason) are dominating this guy.

:nerd: I love it.
While it's really cute, factually it's incorrect.Tebow had 7 INTs in 11 starts last year. He had 2 TDs in 7 of those 11 games. In 8 of 11 games he broke 200 yards just on his stats. Opposing D's weren't racking up the stats against him last year (Buffalo game excluded).

Well he's been a much better fantasy QB than NFL QB in his career. Also, I guess people just like how his attitude is to just keep his head down and keep working regardless of all the crap that people say about him. He won me some money last year and I like him as a person...just wish he could get better at passing mechanics cause replacing Sanchez shouldn't be hard.

The media analysis of Tebow is almost entirely negative so I'm not really sure what you're frustrated over. You can't turn on ESPN radio for 5 seconds without hearing about how Tebow is the worst quarterback in the history of the NFL. In all of their shows there isn't a single analyst who sides with Tebow. It sounds like it should be a wet dream for you.

He's a backup QB though. You don't hear anyone on the radio talking about Carr and how he's doing this season. His performance, positive or negative, is not newsworthy.

I have not looked up the numbers, but it seems like the kid takes a sack about every third time he drops back.

Part of that is your own fault though. While he'd get plenty of coverage on his own, a big part of it is how polarizing it is between the hyperbole that he's some savior and the hyperbole that he's the worst quarterback to ever walk onto a football field. If people just called it what it is it would be a much simpler argument. But the people that dislike him are just as ignorantly adamant that anyone that doesn't think he's the worst QB ever can't possibly know anything about football as the people that really like him are ignorantly adamant that he's something special.
