Panti Bliss responds to outrage over use of the word homophobia (1 Viewer)

The homophobic word makes me chuckle everytime i hear it. I always picture scary looking gay people walking down the street like zombies with all the straight people running scared for their life LMAO

It's a view shared by many, which is why the explanation in the video.

So he does not like being judged... just like everyone else.
I don't mind being judged. I happen to be a very handsome man.
I don't find you attractive :judged:
Now let's convene a television panel to discuss whether McGarnicle's exact level of attractiveness makes him ineligible for his partner's social security death benefits.
Don't forget that I am also hung like can of Pepsi.

FWIW, "drag queen" (i.e. transvestite) <> gay
I am sure there is an exception somewhere, but I have never heard of a straight drag queen.
Eddie Izzard comes to my as a "celebrity".

a number of years ago, my brother-in-law had a roommate who is a drag queen. fully half of his drag queen friends were straight. probably more the exception than the rule, but the [wo]man in the video made it seem like all drag queens are gay.

Straight as in straight, or straight as in married but hangs around the truck stop?

straight as in "i like women" but also "i like to dress up in ladies' clothes."

could have been some Truck Stop loitering mixed in...i didn't bother to ask.

Not for nothing but if their not gay they either missed the opprotunity or they have a wire shorting out against their cranium.

I'm no expert, but I thought a drag queen is someone who dresses up in exaggerated female clothing, hair, make up, etc for performances. Think RuPaul. Eddie Izzard wearing women's clothing isn't a drag queen. Or so I thought.

It really doesn't matter anyway.

I'm guessing based on the website it was published on, that they were expecting gay men to cry.

Just watched the video -- jeez, that's actually a dude? Unbelievable that they can be so convincing. Technology can be used for good and evil, clearly. Glad I'm happily married.

Yeah, I would have sworn Panti Bliss was a real frog in a wig, but it turns out to be a dude. Crazy.

I don't really get the drag queen thing in a case like this where a guy looks like a ridiculous cartoonish representation of a woman. I know there are people with gender identity issues, and ladyboy hookers that try to trick straight men, but in those cases the goal is to pass believably as the opposite sex. This thing looks like a clown. I assume it's an ironic thing rather than sexual?

Don't try to understand it.

It's kind of the Three Stooges of cross dressing.
