McNally: Tom sucks...im going make that next ball a fin balloon

Jastremski: Talked to him last night. He actually brought you up and said you must have a lot of stress trying to get them done...

Jastremski: I told him it was. He was right though...

Jastremski: I checked some of the balls this morn... The refs fed us...a few of then were at almost 16

Jastremski: They didnt recheck then after they put air in them

McNally: F tom ...16 is nothing...wait till next sunday

Jastremski: Omg! Spaz
This is a 35 year old man talking to an even older man.
These guys are equipment managers not Poet Laureates.

FWIW, the report itself is far more damning to Brady and the Patriots than the news headlines. For those on the fence, I encourage you to read it. The report clearly reads that the Patriots have been caught in a web of lies. Its also abundantly clear from the report thay they have not been forthcoming sharing information (despite the comments of some on this board)

Given the tenor of their findings, I think its unfortunate that they sugarcoat the conclusion by using flimsy allegations such as "it is more probable than not" and "at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities". Those are the soundbytes that the media picks up but they dont even begin to accurately describe the mountans of evidence of wrong-doings and contradictions captured in the report itself.

A conspiracy theorist would sugest that this is the back-room compromise between the NFL and the Patriots legal team - be as damning as you want in the report, but do not declaritively state that the team/player is guilty.
So for those of us who have read it, would you care to share some examples of the bolded above.

They quite often in the report say such and such is implausible. I assume these are what you're referring to, and if so - do you have any instances by Brady and/or the Patriots organization?

99% of the damning evidence in the report is about Mcnally and Jastremski.
As previously posted, the fact that Brady REFUSED to cooperate is the damning evidence against him; as far as I can tell those are the only individuals identified as being involved. So, you are admitting that Mcnally and Jastremski look guilty, and Brady's refusal to cooperate makes him look guilty.

I am wondering how these texts where obtained by the commission. Knowing that some lawyer can obtain my private conversations when no crime was committed makes me want to throw away my phone.

It's probably a stupid rule (why not allow each team to inflate to their liking)
This isn't discussed enough. All QBs have a preference, the league clearly doesn't care unless they are under-inflated and/or the Patriots.

Little to no competitive advantage to begin, just let them use their preference.

If anything good comes of this (besides the ring, lmfao) it will be a rule change.
Whether or not the rule is stupid is not the question. I suppose neither is whether or not the Pats cheated (again).

The Pats did cheat (again). I mean, you have to figure that when some of the brightest minds in a sport get caught cheating, getting caught is the exception, not the rule.

When you have been caught as often as the Pats, how can any objective person have any respect for their accomplishments? They are, at the same time, Champions and Losers.

And if someone is foolish enough to think this is Anti-Pats and jealousy, let me remind you that I couldn't stand the 49ers when they were great, hate the Steelers through all their success - and yet, I have respect for both the organizations at the time, and their accomplishments.

Neither is true of the Pats. You are not loathed, you are pitied - because it must suck to win, but know at root its all hollow and all subject to some amount of cheating to have gotten there.
As often? You mean twice at the most? Thats gotta be below the average compared to the rest of the league right? Also, 29 of the 49 superbowls belong to the same few teams. All have been caught cheating. This doesn't change how their fan bases feel about their teams :lmao:
Huh? Please name what Super Bowl winners have been as tainted as the Pats.

You are a Pats fan, you are biased. And if it were my Giants, I'd probably fight for their honor as well - even if it was so utterly undeserving.

I am not a Pats fan. Not a Jets fan, nor a Pats hater. I used to be envious of their success, sure. But they had my respect. Since we beat you twice in the SB, the envy is gone.

Since you have been caught cheating so repeatedly, so is the respect. Just understand that most of the world recognizes that the Pats are cheaters and all of their accomplishments are at least somewhat tainted. That's reality.

For the record those two guys in the awesome texts say they were just "Joking".

I suppose that could be true...even though those were from October before all this hit the fan.

Remember back when everyone had a scientific theory and we're running through these complicated equations and completely disproved this was possible?

That....was.....awesome!
I am curious to see how the Wells Report experiments were run, since it'd be nice to have someone re-run them to verify. At least the HeadSmart experiment was on video.

Exponent isn't known for being particularly independent.

I agree, I'm sure the reports methods were highly questionable compared to a bunch of guys in a chat room. They probably slacked of not thinking anyone would pay attention to the report.

LOL

Or folks can read the last 100 pages of the report which walks through all of the tests in some detail.

Those are from October? Wow.
In a text sent in May 2014, McNally referred to himself as "the deflator." As funny as some of the texts are to read, they certainly hold serious value in the report.
When I looked it over I was thinking all that occurred after it made the news. If it's that far back it's pretty obvious they know they are breaking rules, not joking about it making the news.

This guy is going to make a lot of $ for his appearance on Dateline or 60 minutes.

 the more I read the worse it is for Brady. Guy is completely busted.

Going to be hard for even Pats homers to believe otherwise.

So now it shifts to everyone cheats, it's a stupid rule, it doesn't matter anyway or some other variation of this.
Anyone have a link to his Deflategate press conference?

Yup. There is no joke in October.

This guy is going to make a lot of $ for his appearance on Dateline or 60 minutes.
I actually hope he does. I imagine he will never work for an NFL team again even though he was just doing what his QB, in essence his employer, told him to do. It is obviously the NFL doesn't believe he has a right to privacy so I hope he spills his guts.

Probable cheaters. The Wells Reports concludes it was probable, not for sure. :P

Conclusions made from the investigation seem solid. The only major question I have after reading it is when did it start? Probably can't find out. Seems like it had been going on before last season.

For the last time. Probable means like 85% chance they cheated. But there isn't 100% evidence. According to the NFLs rules, this ruling is enough to 'convict' and dish out punishment. Expect a Brady suspension in the near future.

The two cruxes from the entire investigation are that they based all the recordings off the assumption that the official responsible was telling the truth. The second being that the specifics of their scientific study is filled with holes. They compared spraying a football with a spray bottle full of room temperature water every 15 minutes to rain falling constantly when its 50 degrees outside.

They made all kinds of logical leaps about ball preparation.

Okay, well I guess this is as good of a time as any. The Pats don't need your respect, they are objectively the best team of the past 15 years. Bill Belichick is the best coach in the history of the game. Tom Brady is the best QB in the history of the game. You're entitled to feel however you want about it. You can label it however you want. It changes nothing.
Agree that every fan would trade their last 15 years for the Pats including all the stuff that come with that. What this changes is the perception of Brady. If he straight up lied guy is going to lose respect of a lot of people.

People already hated the guy out of jealousy now they actually have something on him if this is true.
Thats the only reason I'm still here soldiering on. I don't see the link.
Then you're blind.

You probably wont admit Brady is guilty either. If you want your point to have any relevance at all; prove yourself right and admit that Brady is both the cheater and liar that he appears to be.

For the last time "more probable than not" is a legal term. You're just pulling out the word "probable" from it and acting like the other words mean nothing.

More Probable Than Not = It's more likely that he is guilty than it is that he is innocent. In the same vein, it's more probable than not that Tom has sex with his wife. But I've never personally seen photos or video so I can't prove without resonable doubt that he does... but he probably does. Lack of definitive proof is not evidence of innocence.

There's nothing to admit. The Wells Report says over and over that the cheating was probable, and specifically does not say there was cheating for sure.

A bunch of Salty Haters have problems understanding plain english, and seem to think "probable" means "for sure".

Thing is, the plain English definition of "probable" doesn't necessarily apply. The word has room for interpretation. Seems like in the case of the investigation they used the word probably, because there isn't enough hard evidence to use the word "certainty".
