Vrabel had Vick by the ankle and they blew the whistle as he was twisting it around.

thought you couldn't touch the legs anymore?

Dunn looked as quick as ever on that first drive. I did not see much improvement from Vick as far as his pocket passing goes. He dropped back he looked to break the pocket and roll out after going through his first progression too much still.

Is James Sanders playing at SS?
I missed the starting lineups so I'm not sure. I assume he is, and Eugene is at corner, but I'm not sure. Dillon looked good on 2 runs for a first down and Maroney just looked flat out phenomenal on his first run. He had initial contact after a few yards broke through the tackle, got hit again and looked to be going down but kept his balance and ran for another 6 yards or so before being tackled. This running game looks mean right now for the Pats.

If the Pats RBs can stay healthy this year, I see no reason why they can't account for 2500+ rush/receiving yards.

Caldwell dropped a sure TD pass from Brady.

Dillon and Maroney both look outstanding. I think Maroney looking good is very good news for Dillon since it will lessen the wear and tear he'll have to deal with during the season which will enhance his production. On top of that, he should be plenty motivated to do well if Maroney keeps looking this good.

I feel vindicated....

anybody that's watching Maroney tonight can tell there's NO WAY belichek can keep him off the field.

Dillon doesn't run HALF that hard...

Although, Dillon's runs tonight looked better than any runs last season.

Maroney has definitely upped the ante.

i think they both quite good. i like how dillon was moving the pile, and maroney looks pumped up.

With what looks to be an easy rush D schedule, this is going to be an awesome combo to watch this year.

Dillon walked off flexing his shoulder on their last drive, any word? He ran up the middle and got hit hard, then kind of knelt there for a while in what looked to be in a little pain. It looked like just a stinger but he was moving it up and down slightly as he walked to the sideline calling for the trainer it looked like.

This Dillon/Maroney battle could be over before it begins? Probably just a stinger?

I personally think Schaub should start over Vick. Jenkins had a nice catch but if Vick was in there that would have not been thrown. :football:

I know....preseason....but man does Maroney look good. He's quick, but he has more tackle-breaking ability and balance than I saw last year.

Norwood in for a short gain. Duckett just busted off a run thru a hole you could drive a truck through. I think they said something about Dillon being taken to the back to be checked out, but I'm not sure if it was definitely Dillon.

They mentioned a sprained ankle (and further work being done) on Keith Brooking. Not a huge deal if you aren't in IDP, but any substantial time down for him would be a large blow to the Falcons D.

Very Impressed by Marooney.

First time seeing him run in pads - much bigger than I thought -

Runs upright and style reminds me of Steven Jackson. Big, Shifty, Has good speed - May have more shifty moves in his style than Jackson, but smoother and much more natural in the execution of them.

I really like his inside moves. I want to see more of this kid, but between the tackles he reminds me a little of Emmitt Smith (small moves, but enough to make people just miss).

To me the debate over who was a better value - Marooney or Addai - is over. Marooney looks ready now.

I didn't see any missed blocks - they are leaving him in there too. Has anyone seen any mistakes by Marooney in the passing game?

Edit: Jerious Norwood reminds me a little of a Bam Morris - Kind of a Bowling Ball - Just puts his head down and runs into the pile. I know TJ Ducket. I like TJ Ducket. Jerious Norwood is no TJ Ducket.
