YOUR TEARS OF BITTERNESS TASTE LIKE SUNSHINE AND LOLIPOPS.Keep em comin Nancy.

In all seriousness, does the video incident represent any sort of record in terms of size of fine for cheating, cheating incident, or anything?

Where is the NFL rule that states you have to stop scoring on a team? I would like to see Brady break the passing TD record this year, but if he has to hold back on every team he plays against, it will not happen.

Every time someone writes about the Patriots being cheaters I always picture some overweight, thick stripped shirt wearin' 10 ear old will lollipop residue on his face and a a bowl cut haircut yelling out "Timmy was cheating!"

I hate the Patriots. I'm jealous that they are/have been better than my Redskins the past few years, but.....#1 How are they classless??#2 They deserve to be arrogant, if you don't like it beat 'em#3 You could have given their playbook to the majority of the opposing teams this year and they would still have a winning record#4 You play to win the game. I haven't seen them "running up the score" other teams just can't stop them#5 How many taunting penalties do they have this year?? If you mean not during games, I haven't seen anything out of that lockerroom directed to opposing team. (See Terrel Owens)#6 Everyone hates the guy on top of the hill.....

The Patriots are good, Very Good as a matter of fact. I think everyone knows it and everyone is dealing with it. They are also stupid, Very Stupid as a matter of fact. When you have a 35 point lead in the 4th quarter your franchise QB should be sitting on the sidelines wearing a baseball cap. No ifs ands or buts about it. There is no record worth risking a career ending injury to Brady during garbage time. You have a chance to go 16-0 and a superbowl on your horizon. Isn't that a better record to go for?? I won my fantasy game despite going up against Brady, so it is not bitterness that makes me say this. I just thik the Patriots are being foolish by risking injuries to all of their starters just because they want Brady to break the TD record.

The best pass defense they've faced so far is #24. They are very good, but have yet to play a defense that has stopped anybody in the air.

How big were the tires on there bandwagon before you chumps jumped on. You probably root for the Yankees and the Jordan Bulls.

They are the best team I have seen since the '89 49ers.

Of course the regular season doesn't mean much if you lose in the playoffs.

Yes, that's exactly where he was. Check the play-by-play.
He got his 6th TD pass sometime after I checked the play by play at 42-7 in the 4th quarter, so he wasn't on the sideline for that play.
Check it again. Brady came out of the game, then his backup Cassel throws a pick six, and Brady comes back in at 42-21.

That's odd.I always picture Barry Bonds.

If you took the best players from the 79 Steelers, the 85 Bears, and the 89 49ers, you still couldn't beat this Patriot team. If you had 15 guys on your defense, you still couldn't stop Tom Brady. BB has forgotten more about football than all of the cumulative knowledge of all of the other football coaches who have ever lived. Boston is the greatest sports town in human history, and they truly deserve the Patriots, who are the most outstanding sports team in over 10,000 galaxies. Joe Montana only wishes he was good enough to shine Tom Brady's shoes. I think the rest of New England's opponents should simply forfeit now from a sense of hopelessness.

I also want to say I am truly honored to even be a part of this thread that would discuss and honor such an amazing team.

I think they have a better defense though...
The '89 49ers had the 3rd ranked defense in points against and 4th in yards against (the '87 49ers were #1 in points against and #3 in yards against).Pats are right there after 6 games, 2nd & 6th, (not sure where they will be after this week) but let's see where they finish. It would have been a heckuva game though.

We really need a dedicated :11: forum for guys like this.

after they run the table and torch fantasy leagues nationwide they will set a record for most haters.

What does it say about Belichick's belief in his defense when he feels the need to put Brady back into the game with a 21 point lead and 9 minutes to go in the game?

Why was Cassel throwing the damn ball in the first place? Up 28, run it 3 and out and make (Miss) Cleo Lemon freaking beat you!

If the Patriots don't win the Super Bowl, this would be the biggest embarrassment in the history of the NFL! Since they are far superior to every other team, not to win it could get ugly in Chowdatown.

Wow. As a Packer fan, I don't see any of that. I kind of like them.

Few thoughts:

The Patriots USED to play the game differently. It used to be about controlling the clock and maintaining that if they scored 21-24 they could win.

NOW it's about putting points on the board because points win.

Matt Cassell threw a 5 yard slant that was intercepted. It wasn't as though he was airing it out on a reverse flea flicker. Cassell isn't going to get better or develop game experience handing the ball off to Kyle Eckel.

New England doesn't care what you think of them. They are going to score and are going to try to score every possession if possible. If you don't want to see yourselves down three scores, stop them. Try not to fumble. Try covering on special teams and not allowing Willie Andrews to run the kick back.

Anyone who is still chirping about NE being cheaters just sounds bitter and jealous. So do the conspiracy theorists who somehow believe that Goodell is in on it and just ignored evidence. Those same people are the people who think 9/11 was an inside job.

This is going to continue. It's not going to stop unless the weather forces them into a different game. Then you will see a different defense.

I feel bad for the Dolphins. I'm not sure if it's because I always appreciated Jason Taylor, but I feel bad for them.

Cassell also isn't going to get better if he gets pulled after 1 pass play. The 2007 Patriots have morphed into the 2004 Colts. They are getting way more props on their defense than they deserve. If the Dolphins can get 28 on them, I wonder if the Colts can do the same?

I don't think too many Pats fans are expecting a 16-0 season, and I wouldn't be at all suprised if the Colts beat them in week 9.

My post above was not accurate, but lets put this start into perspective. Brady is a very good QB with some very good weapons at his disposal this year. But here's who they have beaten and their pass D ranking:

NJY - 26

SD - 25

BUF - 31

CIN - 28

CLE - 29

DAL - 16

MIA - 15 (but 27th overall D)

Other than Dallas, those are some pretty bad defenses Brady is pummeling.

The Pats defense gave up 21 points. One Dolphins TD was on the Jason Taylor INT for 6.

Yep, I never said otherwise.

Do defensive scores not count now in the total? Great, that would mean the Steelers won last night.

At this rate Im beginning to think that the reason the pass Ds the Pats have played are ranked so low is precisely because they faced the Pats. The high rankes pass D's have yet to get 17 TDs scored on them so they're still ranked high. Seriously though, saying they've been successful just because they play against weak pass D's isnt believable at this point. I hate the Pats. I want them to lose. Because I hate it when a bunch of arrogant pricks are condescending but pretend they are being classy. That being said, I watch every game this year because they really are great and you don't get to see such a high level of performance too often in team sports. In an era when all team sports suffer from being in leagues that are too large so talent is spread too thinly and from player/coach salaries and caps that make it too hard to build a long-term dynasty, there is way too much meiocrity going around. And when greatness like this comes along you just have to enjoy it whether you like or hate the team. The best for me would be for the Pats to continue at this pace, blow out every team and capture every offensive record and then lose in the playoffs. That would make me happy.
