Patriots SPY Fine $750,000 / F1 SPY fine $100 MILLION ! (1 Viewer)

$100 million is crazy money. I guess F1 really must rake in the dough in Europe.

If I had to come up with an NFL comparison, I would say this would equate to something like an employee for one NFL team selling their playbook to another team.

I could see that resulting in a multi-million dollar fine and other penalties, but I'd have a hard time seeing any team penalized $100 million.

Racing is a much bigger business and they take their cheating seriously. Always have. Soccer is pretty serious about it as well. American sports for some reason overlook it a lot. I don't know why that is. It must be a cultural thing.

 Soccer teams are routinely docked standings points for infractions, forced to play home games at a neutral site and etc. I don't remember an American team being seriously punished in this way.

soccer punishment also includes playing a home game in an empty stadium.

apples and oranges. Are you really that dense or are you just fishing?
Go to sleep Toothless Husker Clown,I'm a huge F1 fan, and I thought this was a very interesting story.

.
I'm not an F1 fan, heard this on the radio and found it very interesting.Sure, it doesn't equate directly in terms of money or in terms of the specific "crime", although the violation relates somwhat, but the F1 authority and the NFL are taking vastly different stances in terms of what is deemed acceptable and to what extent they want to discourage future violations.
