I'm watching ESPN right now, and they just broke the news the "The Golden Boy" Paul Hornung has just passed away at age 84.  He played 9 seasons.  He scored 19 points in the 1961 NFL title game.  He rushed for 3,711 yards in his career.  He scored 760 points in his career.  He was selected to two Pro Bowl.  He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1986.  Does anyone have anything they want to share of Paul Hornung?

Founding father of football.... on the notre dame and green bay mount Rushmore’s, doesn’t get much more football than that.  RIP golden boy

Growing up I was friends with Don Hutson's brother Ray's kids. They would go to many Packer games back then and had a cottage in Door County, where some Packers would occasionally hang out. Lets just say that they had a few pretty good "Paul" stories. A legend on and off the field. He was the NFL's all time scoring leader for many years as he was also their kicker as well as playing HB. If not for the 1 year suspension in 1963 (along with Alex Karras) for petty gambling of $50-100/game, mostly among his friends, he would have put up even better numbers as after he came back from the suspension he was never quite the same. RIP
