9.01 Tatum Bell, RB, Detroit Lions

This isn't what I was planning to do here, but I think he's a tremendous value in the 9th and can't believe he's still here. Dude could be money, especially early in the season.

WR's?!? Who needs em!!

I seriously thought he was taken. :lmao: Nothing else to say, he dropped a long way (Went in the late 6th/early 7th in the other two), nice steal sir. :lmao:

I seriously considered taking him last round but I already had Kitna and Furrey and didn't want 3 Lions on my team. I like to gamble sometimes...but not that much. nice pick....and you still have 2 very nice WRs.

:hifive: 9th round, 45th RB off the board...

;)

considered him the last few rounds.Took Foster instead for several reasons.
Yeah, I've had Tatum on my radar for a while now as well.Couldn't pull the trigger as I think I'm set with a 3 man trio, and need for shoring up other positions was greater.Still a steal. Could be the starting RB all year.

Much as I don't want to here, even the semi-dependable QBs are gonna be gone by the time it gets back to me.

9.05 QB Jason Campbell

I was ecstatic in the first 4 rounds or so at the value I was picking up. Since then, my draft board has been decimated every single round. I had seven names lined up for my next pick.....and all seven are already gone.

Not sure the last time I had this hard a time with a draft.

Geuss that means this is either a stellar group, or we all suck......tend to think the former.

Thinking about this more I wonder if the "value" you and others feel they were seeing is derived form the amount of uncertainty about several players and the unknown draft status of the rooks? There are RB question marks that caused some to wait and which allowed some guys like Rhodes and Bell to fall for example and I think that might be a part of why some of these guys were around in round 8. Any starting RB or RB with significant PT is a steal in round 8.

I think part of it is a bit about needs and part of it is as you said, real uncertainty about who is going to put up numbers in situations like Bell, Foster, etc.Like by the halfway point of round 7, half the teams already had collected 3 RB. So at that point it becomes a question of who wants to grab another RB and risk a run on something else (look at QB's for example, 8 left in round 8) demolishing their draft board. Then you consider 'well how much value / points am I actually going to get out of this guy' as justification to skip on by. Me? I thought more people were going be inclined to grab a 3rd RB sooner. Whoops.

care to discuss?
Could it be Foster=starter, Bell=back up?
that would be the main one.
DeAngelo Williams down? DeAngelo's ADP = WSLs 44.67, PDSLs 49.67DeShawn's ADP = WSLs 121.33, PDSLs 117So the back-up is going 4+ rounds earlier than the starter? I've missed something here. Meanwhile, Kevin Jones' ADP dropped from 16.33 in the WSLs to 76 in the PDSLs. Why? 'Cause the guy isn't going to be starting the season on the field. Bell may not be the man in Detroit in December, but I believe he'll see significant time early on - and frankly that's when I want to have my greatest depth (when I'm competing against more teams).

I am totalling kicking myself right now. I did not see that QB run rolling so hard after my WR last round. Add it that a few names of other postitions I was looking at. GRRRRRRRRRRR....

Well, screw it, I already effed up for not taking Schaub or ASmith or Grossman when I had the chance...so...

9.07 DEF Baltimore Ravens

...if I let value go by once, I'll pay for quality now.

I know how you feel, but you have a stronger QB1 then I do. Not that this pick excites me...quite the opposite actually, but he's about the only one left reasonably assured to keep the job...Chad Pennington :lmao:

With the 9.10 pick, FM selects:

R.Williams-RB, Miami

Here's hoping he can keep from getting caught. But if he gets similar touches as before he's a nice value here.

PM'd valence.

Really need a Jones injury update to judge anything here, physical rehab means everything to that guy's season so I'd like to know how it's going.I have no clue why but Carolina backs get hurt. Was last year the first year since their franchise began that they didn't? Maybe Foxy runs em' too hard...I don't know but there's a few "good bets" injury wise. LJ was the first openning day Chiefs RB in like 15-20 years not to get hurt and miss significant time. Some very weird trends I just stay away from because I can't explain it.

He was such a player. That 1800 yard season was ferocious, shame he's done what he's done and didn't build upon that. Good luck with your yoga instructor, I was thinking of taking him tooohmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

thanks. I had just sent it to Old Milwaukee. But, I will send to you, too. Thank you guys.
Stepping out again. I trust OM or RN to make my pick if it comes up and they are around. Thanks again.

9.13: WR- Jerry Porter

In each of the three seasons this guy actually did play in all 16 games - he always finished in the top 30 among WRs. Not bad for the 50-something WR picked. Now I just gotta hope he does in fact play in all 16 games.

(Okay, yes, I am trying to talk myself into this pick a little.)

Will PM next guy.
