This doesn't sound good. Tillman was not at many practices this summer because of an apparent life threatening situation in his family.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Charles and his family. :lmao:

I wonder what is going on? I noticed he is playing tonight. Let's just hope nothing is wrong with his kid, not sure he'd hold a press conference for something like that???

he was just interviewed during the game. His daughter had/has a rare illness and he is explaining it to the public because he has taken so many personal days during training camp. His demeanor seemed pretty calm/together, so I hope it isn't anything too serious.

It sounds like he wants to bring awareness to the illness and at the same time it sounds like his daughter is doing ok.

Here is a brief note of what he's had to deal with lately:

Veteran to discuss infant's serious medical issue

By Vaughn McClure | Tribune staff reporter

11:34 PM CDT, August 28, 2008

CLEVELAND - Bears cornerback Charles Tillman will have a 1:30 p.m. news conference Friday at the Children's Memorial Hospital to address a serious medical issue involving his infant daughter.

Coach Lovie Smith and physicians from the hospital will accompany Tillman, who politely declined to discuss details of the matter Thursday before the Bears-Browns game.

"Mentally, it has been challenging for me and my family with all we've had to go through these past three months," he told WBBM-AM during a sideline interview.

Tillman missed a portion of the off-season workout program and some of training camp because his daughter had a heart transplant July 31. But he played in all four exhibition games.
