Pearl Harbor Documentary for kids (1 Viewer)

We're heading to Hawaii in a couple of weeks and part of the trip is going to be a tour at Pearl Harbor.  I want my son (6yo) to know a bit about it before we go.  I'd like to find a good documentary to show him a good documentary which doesn't show people dying (it's fine if they talk about it, I just don't want him to see someone on the ground all bloodied up).  Any recommendations?

Maybe try this one.  Looks like the one they show at the Memorial. That place is incredible - been there several times. A very humbling place.

Edit to add: with my kids, we talk about war all the time, and have since they were younger than your son. We've addressed that death and sacrifice are part of it, and we honor those men and women who paid the ultimate price for us. My kids have never had an issue with the topic.

We've done a lot of that as well.  My bigger concern is all the sudden the documentary turning into a Saving Private Ryan movie.  Thank you for the suggestion, I appreciate it.

I reckon he's just too young for Tora Tora Tora.  It pretty much covers the whole deal.
One of my favorite all time war movies.  I don't think I could get him to sit through it as it might be a little over his head and I'm afraid he'd get bored.
