It's not the perfect auction, and it's obviously already a few weeks old, but there's a lot of interesting analysis in the mock auction articles from July 18, especially the Q and As with each team.

Because of the fluidity of an auction, it's hard to come up with a "perfect" plan. Jeff Pasquino's auction articles will give you a good starting point and then just compare your projections/rankings to ADP and anywhere that the ADP is lower, you know there's a chance you can get that player at a discount. But also be aware that your leaguemates will completely skew any suggested "perfect" plan as they may overvalue one position and undervalue another (e.g. my league tends to force higher prices for RB's, but TE's go for a song, making snagging a top TE and mid-level RB's a better plan than the other way around, despite the dearth of quality RB's this year).
