Peyton's current value (1 Viewer)

Will Carroll just tweeted cervical fusion is potentially career ending. IIRC this is the same surgery Steve Slaton had.
I had fusion surgery on my thoracic vertebrae, but that is completely different than a cervical fusion. I had surgery in July and wasn't able to run and lift weights until the next April due to the doctor's orders. This despite the fact that I am a very athletic person and was in great shape. However, I was in a back brace for three months post-surgery as well. I am back to where I was then, but it took about a full year for me to get back to that point.Cervical fusions are very dangerous due to the close proximity of the neural fibers to each other; it can paralyze you. This is an issue with taking hits in a football game.
Did it end your career?
