Philadelphia - Restaurant / Bar recommendations? (1 Viewer)

I did a search, didn't see a Philly thread... Im heading there for the next three days for Urban Land Institute, staying at the Roost Hotel near Rittenhouse Sq and the meetings are at and around the convention center.

Any suggestions on restaurants/bars, either for myself or, more likely, with colleagues / new business targets?

Thanks.

Bumping this up. Going to Philadelphia next weekend to watch some baseball. Any recommendations on bar/food/sites? Who has the best cheesesteak?

Thanks.

Tony Luke's on Oregon Ave has a good steak and is convenient to Citizens Bank Park.
My favorite is Jim's Steaks on South Street

Angelo's for the best cheesesteak. John's Roast Pork for a cheesesteak or roast pork.

ETA: I haven't had it, but Angelo's pizza is also said to be very good.

The Oregon Ave location is closed. They’re just in places like ballparks, airports and casinos now.
