saw it on USAToday's transactions page, didn't find a thread searching.

I want "my Pats" to bring him in and try and fix him, think most teams will want to give him a try?

I'm really shocked how this guys career has played out. Was really impressed with him as a rookie with oak and thought SD should have slid down 12 spots and drafted Buchanon instead of Jammer.

My guess is he signs with SF. Any team playing Sammy Davis big minutes can use ANYONE at CB.

Was really surprised when Cass traded those picks for him + handed him a pretty hefty contract.

 
The only good thing about the Raiders last couple of seasons have been the trades they have made with the Texans.

First Jolley and now Buchanon.

I wonder if they want Porter? Maybe Art Shell? Could they use Sapp for a couple of games?

No doubt. I don't remeber what we gave for him. I think it was a 2nd round pick. But it's good to cut him and his big contract.

Yes. If I recall correctly it was the 3rd rounder they got for Henson.

Even if that is correct - they could have used that third (which they essentially got for a 6th) for a player that they might not have cut.We'll never know.

Not surprising. The only reason he wasn't cut in the pre-season was we needed someone to return kicks with Mathis injured.

Cracks me up a little bit as a Raider fan to think that there wouldbe any effect of the "regime" as long as Al Davis is the commonfactor. i.e. the coach on duty had little or nothing to do with the trades that are executed with Big Al in charge.Whatever folks think of Al, he's made some pretty darn good tradesthese past few years. If only all those draft picks turned into realNFL calibre players...
